Here is a base card for each realm. Of course my own cards won't be taken into consideration during the judging later.

  • I may have gotten a bit carried away, but I am joining Duxos.

    The Firelands of Duskflare

A volcanic mountainous region on the north-eastern Jugralian border, Duskflare is home to a warlike "kingdom" of men, with some vampires in the upper clutch. They worship both the Prime Arch Demon, as well as the elemental forces of flame that bleed into their culture. Their primary leader is the Prophetess Neila, and second is the half-blooded Kallis.
They fuel their endless war machine with blood magic, and flame.
    image
Neila, the prophet of Pyraios, sits at the head of Duskflare politics, and manipulates the tides of war with her cult of flame.

    image
Kallis, a true champion of his people, has never known defeat, and only knows weakness by seeing it in others. He leads the defense efforts against Jugralian incursion.

    image
The Avatar of Duskflare, a powerful primordial elemental being. It is stoked beneath the earth, and given blood sacrifice both in sacrament and on the ever-present battlefield of Dawnstoke. He rises when bid by the prophet, and lays waste to those who cannot bear his undying flame.

    image
Rare is peace time in Duskflare, all they know is war. Take from lesser men, and give to the strong. Though they summon devilish shock troops at sacrament, all blood returns to the earth.

    image
Dawnstoke Citadel is directly on the outskirts of Jugralia, and is ever abundant of war. It is an aerie of dragons and demonic torturers, and the foremost fortress to defend from invasion.

    image
The blood-cult within Duskflare specializes in both pyromancy, and diabolism. They take prisoners, but none will starve before they are used in rituals for their dark deity, or their flaming avatar.

    image
All travelers should be wary, whether friend or foe, Duskflare is wary. The devils prowl the streets, haphazard flames blanket the ground in their mischief. No where is safe, but far, far away from this burning hellscape.

    image
Bizarre blood rituals and dragon taming have a very potent, deadly result. One of the most vicious predators known to humankind crossbred with mischievous fire-blooded fiends yields a loss of wings, but a thousand-fold more anger issues. Exactly what Neila asked for.

    image
For the most part, the demons in the firelands are set to work in Dawnstoke Citadel. A menagerie of Jugralian prisoners, and Eserian scouts live short, painful lives within its blood-marred halls. Many demons as well, are partial to the flame magic that bleeds through the veil here.

    image
The battlefields of Dawnstoke and Duskflare have no place for heroes, but on the funeral pyres the land itself provides.

    Disclaimer
Anyone else may make cards with the Duskflare faction/region. I do ask that you keep in mind the themes I've previously laid out however, of blood magic, fire, devils and constant warfare. Mostly Red/Black but probably open for a minimal speckle of green/blue.
  • Eseria is in some serious need for some allies by now.
  • I was waiting to see where the first several people went to see what needed some help. So I may be joining Eseria later.
  • Can we have a list of everyone already in?

I join The alliance of Eseria! Behold my Angels!
(I will update this comment from time to time with new cards.)

    image image

The angels of Darkwing are a highly skilled group of assassin angels, secretly serving the Supreme archangel. Their task is to eliminate anyone they are ordered. Their central is Citadel Darkwing, a building located on the smaller island north from Eseria's coast.
(Citadel Darkwing artist: Bastien Lecouffe Deharme, I forgot to write it on the card)

    image image image image

The angels of Darkwing are lead by three lesser archangels - Enumiel, Alethia and Thamala. Enumiel is the Shadecrafter. He creates the shadows for the Darkwing angels to use. Alethia is the Shadebearer. She stores the shadows, guards their secrets and gives it to the other angels. And Thamala is the Shadefighter. She uses the shadows to fight in battles or assassinations, she is the leader of Darkwing angels in the field.

I will have more cards and story soon.
  • Eseria seems to have gathered practically mosst of it's black mana already.

    Oh and bump.
  • What's the "bump" thing all about?
  • edited June 2019
@ThePhantomJoker it's a thing to push the thread upwards in the forum main page: the ones with the latest comments will appear first. The word "bump" became tied to that method, thus it is known as "bumping". Anything works really. Even this comment right now.

Also these dudes integrate the Jugralian armed forces:
    image
  • @ThePhantomJoker it means "bring up my post"

    image

The Blight Sun faction has quite the uncanny/disturbing way of portraying their tales.

    Laule Gatebow, chapter 2
    Cards shown:

Under the dying trees, the rain barely hit the three Chosen as they quietly made their way to the valley. Tonight would be the beginning of Jugralia's rise.
The dead of night had covered them as they approached the edge of the forest. As they looked, they could see the valley with the demon-worshipers that they were going to kill.
As Laule started knocking a bolt on to his crossbow, Relia put her hand on the bolt and pushed the crossbow down. "Not yet," she said, as Laule finally got to hear the elf's voice, "the guards are facing this way, give them time, they will drop dead soon." As she said that, she started moving around to move across the bridge used years ago to invade Duxos. The bridge held tight for being Jugralian, and gave the enemy no reason to think that they were being hunted by a wood elf.
Minutes passed as Relia set up the shot, waiting for the guards to huddle around the fire in the middle if the camp. As she straightened her fingers to let the string go, one of the guards fell. That was when Laule also shot, killing another.
Seconds later, all of the guards had fallen, and clearing the canyon and leaving a message to the demon-worshipers.
  • Look, I can't be the only one doing this! We still have crap tons of time! I want to see this world fully made so that then we can say we did something really friggin cool.
So I bump this so that then all of you will continue this.
  • @Jonteman93, is this still a thing, if so, can I enter?
  • Whoopsie doopsie, seems like this host made a... scoopsie?

@spookoops This contest in particular is over for now.
I will however open a new contest of the same type for Terrina when I have judged this one so you could join that one then.
  • I have finally gone through the entries and stories and come to a results for this first conflict.

The followers of Duxos got almost by a landslide the most points.
The coalition of Jugralia comes in second
    Alliance of Eseria comes last.

Since this contest was overdue and even forgotten until recently, I feel the enthusiasm fell as well. However I really like the setting since it has large potentials and is not very much limited to stories or characters. It's like a sandbox for you who take part within it.

So I have decided that I will do a kind of reboot for all of Terrina.
How the reboot will turn out I am not sure of yet. If it becomes something similar like this one, a couple of mini-challenges or a mega-contest made up of mini-contests that goes on for a longer time or until all nine contraptions are controlled by the same realm. Or something like the circuit challenge which consists gives points based on other contests' results that are held by others. Maybe this could work in a similar way?

So to conclude this. What do you think? Do you have any ideas, recommendations or wishes from a Terrina reboot?
  • Why not make it a saga?
  • If this does pick-up again, please tag me.
  • tag me as well, whatever you choose to do I'm fine with
