"This creature dies before creatures without martyr" honestly seems to be a much less wordy way of saying it. The language you used could be part of the rulings for it, but having it all spelled out like that on the card feels unnatural.
I agree with @Red_Tower. You could borrow the formatting from first strike's reminder text (which really is like red tower said basically.)
Its already been stated, but for everyone else checking this conversation out:
(Reference source I used is wikipedia):
First strike (This creature deals combat damage before creatures without first strike.)
So therefor, for martyr...
Martyr (This creature dies before creatures without martyr.)
I think we just coined Martyr. Hopefully it don't lead to double martyr. (Bad bad joke. Double strike? Yeah. *cough*) Anyway, hope this helps you out @RohanDragoon!
Also, on a side note, like more than 1 creature on the battlefield with first strike, when you have more than 1 creature on the battlefield with martyr, their abilities will go off before other dying creatures abilities would. This could create some interesting concepts, hopefully nothing too confusing!
I really like your latest entry @SteampunkDragon, but how are other players going to be able to tap the creature? They can pay the cost but I don't think they can tap the creature? Everything else is beautifully done though!
@sorinjace I think you're right, didn't think of that. The idea was that it couldn't be done immediately, but I guess I could have made it cost 4 colorless or maybe just add some text saying it couldn't do it if it entered the battlefield this turn.
Long ago, men discovered the Spiderwood, a place where one could hardly walk 10 feet without discovering some sort of web or 8-legged beast. Now, hundreds of years later, the forest's larger arachnids have all but been destroyed, with only the normal ones left in smaller numbers. However, with the spider's departure and death, new creatures have begun calling the forest home, and they can be just as unfriendly to humans as the spiders were...
First of all, I want to thank each and every participant for making this contest what it became. I had a blast watching the extremely cool creations you guys dropped. I honestly had a hard time judging this. So, without further ado, lets get to the results!
First of all, I would like to drop four honorable mentions, one for each creature type this contest was based on.
Very fun card!! I just felt that it didn't need to be hybrid, and for that matter, hybrid white/red due to the flip a coin ability (I recommend it being just mono red.) Other than that, I liked it!
While I really wanted to give this a higher spot, flying is tertiary on the color pie. Other than that, and maybe making the "Owls" as a bird creature type, I really enjoyed this card.
Very cool creature, but I felt that it was trying to do too much for one creature. Simplify this creature's abilities some, and it would be an excellent blue green cleric commander. I recommend going very blue for one ability, and very green for the other, however you see fit. (It felt very busy otherwise.) However, it was still enough to land you an honorable mention. Thank you for your submission!!
Alright, lets get to the top 3 placers in this contest!
Coming in at 3rd place, its @SteampunkDragon with Mistwood Awakener!
Winners and honorable mentions that have yet to claim their favorites, please send me your requests in the inbox on here or if you are on Ranshi's discord you can reach me there as well. Thank you again for your submissions guys, and hopefully I will see you guys at my latest contest, An Ocean Between Us!
@sorinjace, please favorite these for me. The first three are from a series I'm working on about a master of crows. Next is well, Murder Hobo, because, well...Murder Hobo. Last is one I just really like.
@spookoops, check your winning card; it recieved a trophy favorite. Click on the trophy favorite, it will take you to the trophy profile. From there you can view trophy cards, your on the one for this contest along with @Animist and @SteampunkDragon. Faving your cards right after I post this comment!

Dryad @Ilmarinen with Bloodpetal Dryad

I also liked this card, but I felt that it needed to be a higher rarity than common for what it is capable of doing. Cool idea though!
Cleric @SkinZ with Talrani, the One Who Knows

Thanks for the honorable mention! I agree that I should have made the card uncommon, but I wanted to try to create a common card with X in its abilities. Anyways, fave these:
