WHEN THERE'S SOMETHING STRANGE...!
Hey guys, welcome to my 44th contest! It's getting to that time of the year again, where all things spooky come out to scare and/or play, and what better way to get into the spirit of that and create a magic the gathering contest for it? I present to you...
WHEN THERE'S SOMETHING STRANGE...!

Your objective? Create cards that go bump in the night! That's right, anything that relates to Spirits, in the supportive or destructive sense, so long as the card has the word Spirit somewhere on the card. (It could be in the name, the subtype, the rules text, the flavor text, etc...)
The catch is, it MUST work with Spirits somehow, even if it is to 'bust' them. See what I did there? Here is an example:

Rules!
1.) You can submit up to 5 cards max.
2.) Only 1 old card can be submitted max. I encourage you to try to create new cards for this contest.
3.) Cards can be of any type.
4.) Cards must use the word Spirit somewhere on the card, be creative.
5.) Please credit the artists of the art you use on your submissions.
6.) Rules subject to change.
7.) No already existing magic the gathering cards/remakes please.
8.) No magic the gathering art that is already on real cards please.
9.) Submissions are due by Friday, October 18th 2019 11:59pm eastern standard time.
Prizes!
3rd place winner will receive 3 favorites, a trophy, and their name mentioned in the hall of fame.
2nd place winner will receive 4 favorites, a trophy, and their name mentioned in the hall of fame.
1st place winner will receive 5 favorites, a trophy, and their name mentioned in the hall of fame.
There may be honorable mentions, depending on the amount of entries. If so, each honorable mention will receive 2 favorites.
Good luck guys, and happy cardsmithing!

I know I can only enter one old, but here's a couple others you can check out:

Old card.
I’ll post some new cards soon.
Guys, just put Spirit somewhere on the card, that is really the only restriction. So @KorandAngels, you CAN make a specter or shade for this, as long as the card says Spirit somewhere on the card. You just need to be creative.
I'm loving the entries so far guys, please keep the "spirit" and keep them coming!
Second. I know, I know. I will make a proper entry. This was just too flavorful for the contest not to show it.
Replace "Entity" with "Spirit", maybe?
EDIT: Added Ethereal Absolutioner.
I know it's subtle, but with most spirits since innistrad actually being white, I thought simply having a black spirit with synergy would be nice enough to keep this one perfect within uncommon range and low cost.

I was honestly just gonna make a drink style card, since they are often referred to as spirits, but I figured I'd play nice and not exploit the rules.
Ghostbusters!
If there's something strange in you neighborhood,
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!
If there's something weird and it don't look good,
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!
I ain't afraid of no ghost.
I ain't afraid of no ghost.
If you're seeing things running through your head,
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!
An invisible man sleeping in your bed,
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!
I ain't afraid of no ghost.
I ain't afraid of no ghost.
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!
If you're all alone, pick up the phone and call
Old card:
My entry #1 tries to capture the idea of a spooky mask that possesses you! A classic trope of fantasy TV and books as well as horror.
For some reason all my entries are Eldraine-esque haunted items. I guess I just like possessed objects as a theme.
Anyone else excited for Theros, beyond death? This is an idea for an ocean separating the underworld from the land of the living.
