This is an odd one...
I got the idea of this from Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl
@ASubtleGhost @JackDraco You guys made my job pretty difficult. In the end, it was between two cards that make you think strategically about how you want to play, with great payoffs when you do. Both Maddened Skulker/Nightmare Screecher and Kai have deep strategy, but overall, when I looked at things, I had to flip my perspective to the player on the receiving end.
Which do I want to see? Maddened Skulker can pull shenanigans to get transformed without attacking, but Kai can just say "Boom. I'm transformed." Overall, Kai could get pretty out-of-hand, which is something minor in a less competitive setting, but in Modern or Commander... this can get incredibly painful very quickly. Overall, I'll be handing the victory to @ASubtleGhost!
With Maddened Skulker, the opponent(s) has a much higher level of control, and it's possible for the Skulker to transform by their hand as well (unintentionally and intentionally.) Both of these cards have a presence, but Maddened Skulker definitely seems like something that's more likely to be printed.
