    Phyrexia: Blue Black White (Esper)

Six years after most of mirrodin had fallen, a small group of rebels remained in the vast metallic jungle called the tangle. Each month, the green praetor Vorinclex would come out from Phyrexia’s core and survey his domain. The mirran rebels made an elaborate plan, and it worked. On one of Vorinclex’s visits, four assassins lay in wait. When he emerged, they dive bombed him with spears tipped with the magic of Melira, the only individual immune to the phyrexian’s corruption. The only individual to successfully impale Vorinclex was Jor Kadeen, but once was enough. Vorinclex started bleeding oil all over, and had dried up and became completely still within thirty seconds. However, the assassins were killed shortly afterwards by Vorinclex’s henchman. The fall of Vorinclex and Melira’s magic allowed for the Mirran Rebels to conquer the Tangle within weeks. Using guerrilla warfare tactics, the rebels defeated many attempts to wrest the tangle from them. Three months after Vorinclex’ss death, The Rebels led a final attack into Pyrexia’s Core, and once the four praetors inside realized, it was too late, and they were forced to leave Mirrodin using a portal. They arrived on the vast world of Thrandilar. A world ruled by a civilization called the Primus. The primus had a very loose government, that gave everyone a lot of individual rights. This is ultimately what led to the Phyrexians nearly eradicating the Primus. When they were on the verge of defeat, a small group that called themselves the Supreme Guard, held off the Phyrexians during the climax of the war. And so, the battle was named “The battle of the Guard.”After this, the Thrandilarians came back and won the war, slaying the remaining praetors except for Sheoldred. Because of the Gitaxorus treaty two years after the bloodshed ended, Phyrexia is recognized as the fifth primary faction of Thrandilar. To this day, phyrexia remains a power, and recently has been up to some shady shit.
