Name: Farahl Race: Rathalkan Age: 57 years and 99 loops old. Gender: Male Occupation: Leader and priest of rogue group, known as the Skittering Blight. Skills: Leadership, piety, controlling various plagues and vermin, and alchemy. Weaknesses: Hypocritical when it comes to blindly following something (blindly follows his search for vengeance yet calls out other priests for blindly following their religion). Traits: calculating yet single-minded, needlessly cruel. Alignment: Neutral Evil
History: Born on the plane of Ignisp, Farahl was a cruel and cunning deceiver, and was able to get the attention of Xiin-Clieva, a powerful planeswalker intent on creating as much chaos as possible. Together they scoured the planes, ravaging the lands and acquiring more and more followers each day. Through extremely advanced portal networking, armies could hop from plane to plane swiftly. Soon, Rathalka had become a multiversal threat.
However, with every passing day, Xiin-Clieva grew more paranoid. He thought that everyone was out to get him, even—no, especially—his most trusted associates. Eventually, he decided to get rid of his closest advisors, including Farahl, on the distorted plane of Arvindara, to be forgotten by the rest of the multiverse. But Farahl and the rest remember his betrayal with sickening fury in their hearts.
"Beware Xiin-Clieva, for the Skittering Blight will rise from our pestilent graves. We have been blessed by Malady, god of all that is diseased and vile, and we will be your undoing."
All right, sorry for the delay! I’ll get the rest of you when I can. ——— @Bowler218 You follow the man to his large cart, though calling it a cart would be a bit of a disservice to the contraption that you see before you. It has two giant tanks, a motor in front, a driver’s seat, and a seat in the back, presumably for you. “Isn’t she a beauty? My father created this contraption to take our crops to market, and it still works today.” He motions for you to sit on the back, then takes his seat and cranks a lever in front. With a momentary buzz, the cart smoothly runs forward. It takes you a little while to get to the market of Dakuhera, but once you arrive there, you step off. The man comes around the cart, motions for you to extend your hand and drops a few coins in your palm. “Go buy yourself a weapon, friend.” You wander down the alleys of Dakuhera, surrounded by the noise of the market, until you come across a shop with a sword nailed above the door. Walking in, you see a man wielding a large hammer and whacking a sword. He looks up at you. “Hello, friend! Need a weapon?” Make an equipment card with CMC 5 or less to represent your new weapon. This will come into play later. ——— @spookops You walk down the hill towards a town midway up the mountain. You find yourself in a back alley of the town, and you feel a chill of the cold mountain air. Suddenly, you hear a harsh male voice from behind you and feel a blade gently pressing into your back. “Why are you here? Give me one reason I shouldn’t gut you here, trespasser.”
Name: Sersher Raizai Race: Aven Age: 22 Home Plane: Kahns timeline Tarkir Gender: Male Occupation: Master Sage of the Sky Sages Strengths: Very strong and agile, master of aerial martial arts Weaknesses: Tends to be quite reckless, especially in situations involving fighting and battle Alignment: Neutral Good Backstory: Sersher was promoted to Master Sage at the young age of 17 when his father Teryen, the former Master Sage, was killed in a battle with a group of extremely skilled Mardu warriors. As such, he was not fully trained in the ways of a calm and wise leader of the Sky Sages. However, he has done his best to lead the Sky Sages to victory in all endeavors, spiritual or military. But one day, when he was meditating in the main monestary, he sensed a disturbance. It was the Great Aether Storm, and before he had a chance to figure out what his vision meant, the GAS came to Tarkir and whisked him to Arvindara.
At long last, I’ve gotten my stuff back together. On with the saga! @Tommia “My son should be back any minute now. He’s a knight of the Order. Maybe you can go with him to the Verdant City; you might be able to find someone to help you here.” At that moment, a tall, strong young man in ceremonial-looking dress opens the door to the man’s house. “All right, Father. I’m off patrol for the day and -” He stops abruptly upon seeing you. “What is your business here, stranger?” The old monk chuckles. “We’ve had a friend arrive on our little farm from a faraway land.” “So you are one of the ‘walkers of the worlds’ that have been appearing around Arvindara?” asks the man quizzically. “Yes, and he’s offered to help you take our supply to market, Tomas. So be grateful you have some help,” says the monk sternly. The knight sighs. “All right, Father.” He extends an arm to you. “I’m Tomas, knight of Elakir. So you are stranded from another world? I think I know a mage who could help you with that...” ——— @Fallen_Lord_Vulganos One soldier laughs humorlessly, a harsh, barking sound. “You’re standing on Roon territory, lass. What kingdom do you come from? Tell us now or be slain where you stand.” ——— @spookops (Just write what you’re going to do. No need to make a card.) ——— @Bowler218 The blacksmith hands you your sword, crafted to your exact specifications. “See you later.” As you leave his shop and go to look for the man who took you here, you hear two people come up behind you. You can tell that they’re wearing some sort of robe. “Hey, outlander,” whispers one. “I can tell that you’re not from this world. Come with us — we can help you find a way out of this damned place.” ——— @MonkeyPirate2002 You have found yourself a temporary home in a cave on the border of Roon and Kubaya lands, sufficiently isolated so that you can plan your next move in peace. While sitting in your cave, you hear a crackling noise outside. The air feels like it’s crackling with some sort of energy. You’re unsure whether to stay in your cave or investigate the mysterious noise. ——— @Aggroman15 You find yourself in a copse of trees on a hill, overlooking a giant city. This city seems to have vines and plant life growing all over its buildings, and you can make out the sounds of hubbub even far above the city. To the east, you see a river, and giant snow-capped mountains poking into the sky. To the west, you see a murky swampland, filled with dead trees. Consider your next move.
@Tommia The man laughs. “Dear me, I misspoke. Would you like to accompany me to the market? I think I could help solve your problem...” ——— @Bowler218 There is hushed silence, and you can hear the two strangers whisper in an unintelligible code. Finally, one of them says, “All you have to do is help us. We seek a way off this plane too.” ——— @spookops You stab your blade into the heart of the stranger’s chest, but he doesn’t even show pain. He drops his knife, shrugs his shoulders and says “Okay, I can respect that.” Then his face disappears, revealing a humanoid dummy made of ice. You realize that your blade is now stuck in the decoy. You pull it out and turn around, confronting the man, who is now standing behind you. He lays his knife on the ground and raises his hands. “Listen. I can tell you’re unhappy, but you don’t have to antagonize me. I just want to speak to the man named Edgarsson so I can find my way to a Breach and leave this world. Do you know where Edgarsson lives?” ——— @MonkeyPirate2002 Your follower comes scurrying back into the cave, looking a little injured. “Lord, there’s - some kind of distortion out there. It looks like a giant rift in the air! I walked up to it, but it... rejected me? You’ve got to come see it!”
@TezzeretofCarmot21, I look perturbedly at the man, "First, you threaten me by, quite literally, stabbing me in the back. And, now you're asking me to help you find a man I've never even heard of."
"Lets start simple, who are you? Who is Edgarsson? And, how do we find this Breach to leave this world?.."
