  Birds are awesome, I realize that magic the gathering has made the card in many many sets with all different looks, I just think from time to time that even MTG should change there effects on popular cards of the past, once this site shows every good effect, MTG will have no other option to take our effects for payment of zero dollars, that is not fair, so to have fun and enjoyment change their cards a tad bit due to I never play Birds of Paradise because it is a weak card, all in all its fun to find your favorite bird art of all time, add the text and add a cool quote, thanks, all the cards done so far are awesome.

  It takes two cards out of your hand to play one card that is a 0/1, mana confluence takes one card(itself) out of your hand to do the exact same thing as birds, game of magic it's all about cards in hand, birds of paradise shows it's weak with a $7.00 value.

  @Emmastone Jesus. You don't understand the context of BoP at all, apparently.
  
  So you're saying that playing one card that taps for any mana + deals 1 damage to you is somehow "better" than playing a land and a creature, both of whom tap for mana, at no cost? You do realize that mana confluence only taps for one mana.
  Birds of Paradise are not played because it's a 0/1 with flying, it's played as a 5th-8th Noble Hierach or as extra fixing for decks outside of bant colors.
  Sure, Noble Hierach is better than BoP in almost any case due to exalted, but GBR or any combination hereof, cannot use it and BoP is good ramp for them. Just think of BoP as a land vulnerable to creature removal and it can block in a pinch, really.

  Everything said by each of us is totatlly cool, it is how a person becomes better than a pro tour player that plays 365 days a year and even though there are better, some have to work for rent and only play ten times a year but since some are more in the heart of the game, better players exist that don't get any credit whatsoever, reason why bop and lighting bolt hold a smaller dollar amount is because their always reprinted. A true player that is great at the game and values the game will never at any time be concerned of value of any card. Some get there, I've seen one in my life.
