Once Upon A Plague, There Was An Apocalypse (Enter Now!)

Wassup fellow Cardsmiths!

Right here I have a contest themed on our current pandemic.

Times are hard, life is difficult. This contest is meant to be a distraction to give your mind a brief respite from this pandemic.

For this contest I want to see cards that are either...
1. A plague.
2. An apocalypse.
3. A cure.
4. A peaceful end.

How will I be judging?

1. I will put each card in its category. For example, plagues go together, apocalypses go together, cures go together, and peaceful endings go together.

2. After all the cards are separated, I will give each ?/10 points for each of the following things.
1. Creativity
2. Balance
3. Flavor
4. Fits the theme

3. The card form each category with the most total points wins that category.

Rules:

1. Must depict a plague, apocalypse, cure, or peaceful end.

2. Please credit artist. If you don't I will subtract 5 points form that cards total points. (it could cost you the win)

3. No entry limit

4. Have fun and make loads of entries!

5. Old and new cards are allowed.

6. Deadline for entries May 26th

Prizes:

1st place: 5 favorites on the cards of your choice, and a follow.

2nd place: 3 favorites on the cards of your choice, and a follow.

3rd place: 3 favorites on the cards of your choice.

The wording for that should be...

    Enchant creature an opponent controls

Enchanted creature has "Whenever this creature attacks, put a -1/-1 counter on each creature you control."

Curse (When enchanted creature dies, attach Despondency to another target creature.)

    Growing Rot Radiant Sunrise

    One apocalypse, one peaceful ending.
  • Old cards are allowed
  • I noticed that I forgot to mention the prizes, I added them, it'll be 5 favorites and a follow for 1st, 3 favorites and a follow for 2nd, and 3 favorites for 3rd.

    All Who Remain

Here's an older card that depicts an apocalypse

                        The Plague                                     The "Cure"

                    The Apocalypse                              Peaceful Ending
  • Sorry for the artist crediting. I made it a long time ago and did not know what it meant. Can I keep the points?

  •
    A plague

    And a cure.
  • If the participation doesn't reach 10 before the deadline (in two days) I will skip judging and give feedback on all your entries and give each of you 4 favorites of your choice, but if we can get the participation to 10 it will continue as planed.
  • @LordTachanka123, @SpellPiper2213, @spookoops, @GameQnQ, and @SNAPcreator7.
You each get 4 favorites of your choice.

Feedback(Please note that this is all my opinion only.) (Also, I fixed wording issues)

    LordTachanka123's cards
    Despondency WWB
    Enchantment-Aura

    Enchant creature an opponent controls

Enchanted creature has "Whenever this creature attacks, put a -1/-1 counter on each creature you control."

Curse (When enchanted creature dies, attach Despondency to another target creature.)

    Feedback:
Interesting but slightly overpowered. I would've maybe changed "put a -1/-1 counter on each creature you control" to "put a -1/-1 counter on enchanted creature, you lose 1 life" then that would tie into the Curse ability.

    Death's Hold BBBU
    Enchantment-Aura

    Enchant player

At the beginning of enchanted player's turn, that player puts a -1/-1 counter on target creature they control, and another target creature.

Curse (When enchanted player dies, attach Death's Hold to another target player.)

    Feedback:
I would've made the "And another target creature" be "and target creature an opponent controls" it costs a little bit much, I would've done 2BB and gotten rid of the blue.

    SpellPiper2213's cards
    Growing Rot 2BB
    Enchantment

At the beginning of each player's turn, that player sacrifice a permanent unless they pay {b}{b}{b} or pay three life.

    Feedback:
I don't have very much to say about this card, it is very reasonable in my opinion.

    Radiant Sunrise 4WW
    Sorcery

You gain 3 life. Shuffle your graveyard into your library, then reveal the top card of your library. If it's a creature, put it onto the battlefield. Otherwise, put it into your hand.

    Feedback:
Once again very nice, fairly balanced.

    All Who Remain 5WW
    Sorcery

Each player chooses up to one creature they control and gains life equal to its toughness. Exile each creatures not chosen this way.

    Feedback:
I feel that it's slightly underpowered for 7 mana, but other than that I like it.

    spookoops' cards
    Black Death BBB
    Sorcery

As an additional cost to cast this spell, exile X creatures you control.
    Exile X target creatures.

    Feedback:
Very clean, I would play with this card.

    Byro, Plague Doctor 2WB
    Legendary Creature-Human Cleric

Protection from Undead (Wraiths, horrors, liches, skeletons, specters, spirits, vampires, and zombies are all considered undead.)

If a +1/+1 counter would be put onto a creature you control, you may instead put a -1/-1 counter on another target creature.

w/b w/b, Exile a creature from your graveyard: Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control.

    2/3

    Feedback:
love the synergy, could probably have lifelink.

Into the Sunset 5BGRUW(All Phyrexia mana)
    Legendary Instant

Assist (Another player can pay up to {5} of this spell's
    cost.)

Each player may search their library for a permanent card of each permanent type, and put those cards onto the battlefield tapped. Then, if there are 40 or more permanents on the battlefield, you win the game.

    Feedback:
"In play" is old, wizards now uses "On the battlefield" I haven't found a card that says in play in any of the new sets. It costs too much to be legendary.

    Impending Doom
    Sorcery

    Suspend 4--w/b w/b

    Split Second

    Exile all non-land permanents.

At the beginning of each players upkeep, that player may sacrifice a permanent. If the player does, put a time counter on Impending Doom.

    Feedback:
There was no need for the "from the game" the old "Remove target creature from the game" has been changed to "Exile target creature" (I feel like you're a fan of the old wordings) Other that that I love this card.

    SNAPcreature7's cards
    Emery, Disease Curer 1UBG
    Legendary Creature-Scientist

When Emery enters the battlefield, destroy target enchantment.

    U: Scry 2.

B: Target creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn.

    G: You gain 3 life.

    1/4

    Feedback:
Enchantment destruction is primarily white. maybe should've given him a keyword ability. And maybe bummed his power to 2 or 3. But I like the way it fits the theme.

    GameQnQ's cards
    Afflicted Population 1BB
    Creature-Human Peasant

Contagion—When Afflicted Population enters the battlefield you may put a -1/-1 counter on it. If you do, put a -1/-1 counter on another target creature.

Creatures you control with -1/-1 counters on them have infect (Creatures with infect deal damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters and to players in the form of poison counters.)

    2/4

    Feedback:
Very nice, I would've made it a rare and had it's power and toughness at 3/4.

    Thaumaturgic Vaccine
    Artifact

    Suspend 2—1W

    When Thaumaturgic Vaccine is suspended,
choose a type of counter that a player has or that
    is on a permanent.

Players can't get counters of the chosen type
and counters of the chosen type can't be put on
    permanents.

    Feedback:
I like the idea of this card, but there are wording issues that I'm not sure how to fix.
  • @Fantastickill7, you can like any of my cards that you actually like. That gives me an actual feeling of satisfaction...
  • Same thing, @Fantastickill7. Whatever cards.
  • @Fantastickill7 same here, thanks for the feedback
  • I'll get to it.
