Hello! Just popping up to confirm that Temur is meant to be the strongest Masterwork combination ^^ The idea is that it synergises better with the growth theme in Temur. You'll notice there is a five-colour cycle of commons that give a keyword to the masterwork, but there are also one additional blue card, one red card, and one green card at common that boost stats.
About Damian: You want to avoid effects that say "Whenever you lose life" because there are cards that let you pay life freely as a cost. For instance, if you have more life than the opponent, Damian + any card that pays life as a cost like Wall of Blood is an immediate win. Usually, cards would use "Whenever you lose life for the first time each turn" instead.
You don't want to put a destroy ability on a +2, it's too oppressive and prevents the opponent from ever playing a creature again.
The second ability is redundant with the first, you don't want your loyalty abilities to be the same ability multiple times with slight variations, try to find synergies instead. Also, that -2 is actually way worse than the +2, which is weird.
Overall, the card feels pretty monoblack to me, you need to pump the red and white aspect of it I think ^^

P.S: About the whole precon Commander project, I'd actually advise starting to find cool reprints that would produce cool synergies! That would guide you into choosing the best themes. For instance the decks could be 1/3 reprints of actual cards, 1/3 reprints from the Rezatta set once it's finished, and 1/3 new cards designed specifically for Commander ^^
You have to choose a creature YOU control when a permanent with Masterwork enters the battlefield under your control. You could theoretically make a card that specifically says you can choose a creature you don't control but that would get pretty confusing and I'm not sure why you would want to do that.
@ningyounk My idea is to make a creature that can give your opponent your masterwork, and then whenever they do something (casts a noncreature spell or something) then both of you get a benefit (like you get a gold and they get something else).
The idea is an artist who was commissioned a piece of art and whenever they do something he gets money. It also gives your masterwork a big buff and Xantcha clause.
I'm still not sure I understand how the Masterwork mechanic interacts with this. A priori, I think it's weird because it creates a nonbo with all the other cards with that mechanic so it sounds that it would be better to do this without involving Masterwork.
@MTG_Sappy, can you please stop making cards? I've said this before in the discord, we need to develop the themes and concept of the card before we even think about making them.
@SteampunkDragon I understand that but we're done with figuring out the themes of the Mardu deck @The-DM , They are "aggro Rennaisance" and "tokens." So you can make as many Legendary CREATURES as you want for that(plez no planeswalkers) @ningyounk
We have successfully found the themes for the Mardu deck "aggro renaissance" and "tokens" here is my first take on it, for the Aggro Renaissance theme
@Fallen_Lord_Vulganos Here's a quick recap, but I highly recommend you go take a look at the main thread: the first page contains all the info you need. Renaissance — If the sum of all life gained and lost this turn is 3 or more, EFFECT.
Serran life (Pay 2 serran life: Add one mana of any color.) (Think of it like a "shield" for your life points)
Masterwork (Choose a creature you control as this enters the battlefield. It becomes your only masterwork.)
Discover (Look at the top card of your library. You may cast it. If you don't, you may put it into your graveyard.)
Sinera, Heart of Emotion is a shaman who lives in Rezatta, her passion is driven into her hobbies and she becomes angry whenever someone destroys her creations. After a while she realizes her faults and starts again.
Lidres is an actor that acts in Rezatta, pretty obvious
Stin is a champion in a COntest of sorts and the commonfolk adore his strength and courage, the dethrone is like him dethroning the current reigning champion
Love the characters! May I suggest Lidres dealing 3 damage instead? This would allow her to activate the Ren ability by herself, which could be interesting. -Tachanka
Lidres' Mask 3 Artifact-Equipment 2, pay 2 life, t: Equipped creature becomes a copy of target creature until end of turn. Whenever Lidres' Mask equips an artist creature, proliferate. Equip 4
Costume Change 2r Sorcery Gain control of target creature, than target opponent gains control of a creature you control.
Affectionate Audience 3rw Creature-Human(Maybe Elf as well) Haste Ren-Put a +1/+1 counter on CARDNAME.
Civil Unrest 2rwb Sorcery Each player makes a 1/1 white citizen token, then discards a card for each citizen token they control. As long as the sum of life lost and gained this turn was 3 or more, you can't discard cards for the rest of the turn.
Inspired Rebellion 2w Instant Make 3 1/1 white citizen tokens.
@LordTachanka123 I liek them however, I believe since Lidres is the main commander we should only make cards (lore related) to Lidres, the mask is spicy. Also Stin was changed so its no longer a rebbelion but a Champion in a Conquest

Damian Dervain - {2}{r}{w}{b}
Legendary Planeswalker - Damian
Whenever you lose life for the first time each turn, Damian deals 1 damage to any target and it's controller discards a card. (Black?)
+1 : Creatures you control get +2/+0 until end of turn. You lose 1 life. (Red?)
-5 : Put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control. Damian deals damage equal to creatures you control to target opponent. (White?)

Here's what we currently have as commanders https://mtg.design/u/MTGSappy/RCD
Any thoughts are appreciated. (btw I changed Stins lore so that he's just a Champion in a competition cuz I think that would fit)

I see what you mean by 3 damage, however, 2+2=4, so if 2 opponents take it it does it by itself(this is commander)
