Vaenn Tuajak, Plane of snow, hunters and mystery
Howdy all! Not too long ago i came up with on whim this little card:
After which, I was pressured by LordTachanka123 to make a story around it. So I did.
Card after card, i churned out whatever came to my head about this little story and i had a grand time making them. But, i'm not satisfied with how i stopped. I got to a point where i felt like i was hurrying to bring to story to a close, without any real good resolution. I regret that, and I got to wondering if i should try taking up this story and making it more of a serious thing, with writing and proper story telling and words upon words of detail.
So with that in mind, i'll begin this thread- just as a place to dump my thoughts and progress my story. You'll see my drafts of how i unfold the story, and i apologise in advance for being too wordy, i tend to ramble, heh. All are welcome to give their opinion and critic, i'm always seeking to learn and grow. I'm no writer by any means, this is just a fun project i had in mind to keep me busy and distracted. And so, without further ado, let us begin.

"Nearly always winter, with brief periods of blessed summer, the land itself is a trial to endure. Humans are prominent on the plane, although there are plenty of elves and dwarves, naturally. Giants also run amuck, although they are usually placed under the 'hunted' catagory. Dragons are rare, but not unheard of. Especially of note is the Skalpyr clan, a community of powerfu dragon wizards who draverse the stars like water."
"The first story that we come across on this realm is that of the Accused Innocent, of The Hunted Snow."
"This story is one of curiosity, enthrallment, betrayal, revenge, and redemption. We begin with out main focus of the story, for now will only be known as Snow. On a hunt in search of animals for food and fur, Snow encountered a terrible Blizzard for which she had to seek shelter fast, or face cold death."
A large archway, with a door to match, lay before her. She had ran into the entrance of one of the Delves, ancient temples created by a race either long forgotten or not from this plane of existance. Curiosity getting the better of her, for her people were warned to give the Delves a very wide birth, for others that were discovered before had been laden with traps and curses of all kinds. Yet, always did they hold untold amounts of treasure and precious things. Enchanted weaponry, jeweled gold, coins upon coins of silver.
With the blizzard keeping her from escaping where she came, and curiosity burning in her chest, she had but little choice to open the enormous door in front of her. But this door was not trapped, unlike others before it. Not were there many magical runes, or curses. The halls were barren, with but cobwebs and ice and snow, as if it were forgotten even by the Forgotten."

Before now, she had merely thought them as myth, legends to scare childeren, but now she saw 5 great wonderous dragons:
The air rushes past Snow, but this time in the direction of the book, filling it and flipping page after page until closeing itself with a thunderous boom. The ground shakes and stones fall from the ceiling around Snow, threating to swallow her up. But instead, the wall just beyond the book gives way, as brick and morter crumble to dust in heaps, revealing an age old secret.
As the dust settles and the ground stops shaking, all seems to be quiet and normal now. Except for the new fantastic hole in the wall just beyond Snow, revealing a Gate. An archway made of beautiful silver and marble, with just beyond what seems to be another cave-like hallway, filled with... coral? Color brims with light as the new cave is filled with plants of all shapes and sizes, all types and colors.
Snow had never seen so much color in her life, begin used to a world filled with nothing but grey and white and blue. Such color seemed totally alien to her, and indeed it was. But before she could even consider walking into the newly reveal Gateway, Snow heard footsteps coming from beyond. Lightly pattering on the coral-cave floor, feet seeming to barely touch the ground, there revealed himself a strange man, just as strange if not more so than the cave surrounding him. With clothes of all colors, sporting a bright red trimmed with purple, with designs of all kinds of creatures and symbols dancing across the silk. And what was reveal to not be feet, but hooves, and just above swinging back and forth was a tail to match. His skin was purple to the point of hilarious, and he sported two twisting, elegent horns to match his tail and hooves. But his eyes. His eyes.
His eyes were sharp and sweet at the same time, red where white should be with a ruby iris. It was difficult to tell exactly where he was looking, but Snow knew he was looking directly at her. No. Through her. Into her very soul.
"Look what we have here." Spoke the ruby eyed man, if he was man indeed. "A lost lamb has finally opened the Gate of Jippu. Thank Hades, i was growing bored of waiting. Well, little one. I hope you like the color Red. Because that's all you're going to see for a while." The 'man' grinned as he spoke, with such a soft sweetness it completely disarmed Snow, preventing her from being prepared for what came next.
Red indeed was all she saw, fore just as the 'man' finished speaking, Snow's vision went from seeing colors of all kinds to just one, single, terrible color. It was very strange, not only did her vision distort and shrink, she felt herself retreat inside her mind, as if she now resides in a smaller cave than the one she stood in, with her eyes as her only windows to the outside world.
She tried to speak, to shout, to cry, but no words came. No movement came. She had absolutely no feeling of her own body. She heard the silver-sharp laughter of the 'man' as if he could see her struggle. He motioned for her to lead the way, without further words. For no more words were needed, she new exactly what he wanted her to do. And it was not good. It was a terrible, terrible thing that he had planned for her.
