I have about two of the symptoms: coughing and nausea. But the testing was because of policy upon arrival. I’m being quarantined until my results come back.
Eh, my project was too ambitious. I’ll finish it eventually, but for now I’ll just submit something with one of the component illustrations. Be back with that soon!
I just realized most people are talking about how they did their art. I used a pencil set with many different lead types and consistencies, which might be cheating? I dunno, but none of it was digital. I actually did this several months ago, and touched it up a little to use for this. If you need proof it’s mine, I put ‘RF’ by the bottom, as you can see. The card itself is probably super messed up, but whatever.
The card and the art both look really cool, just one small edit on the card. It doesn't have to say return from the battlefield, it could just say return Slippery Silayum to your hand.
Oh no, myself am missing this art contest. Totally didn't realize.
Have big news coming up even though I'm not going to be on the main site much longer. Since Cardsmith staff are interested in some of my ideas. We might be doing something very cool related to this in the upcoming year.
Thanks for all your beautiful artworks, they really drive my motivation through the roof.
Here is my entry! This was my first time attempting to draw a dragon, and given my art skills, I'm pretty proud of it! I hope you like it!
Here is the art-
The original drawing of the dragon was done in pencil, all coloring and the background was done digitally. I think this would fit into the digital art category.
I wanted the card to be some sort of evil-y type dragon, and when I finished drawing, I felt like the dark purple really reinforced the evil theme. That also lead me to creating a card based around sacrifice because I felt like that also helped convey the malevolent dragon theme.
My entry, the sketch for an illustration of an ooze that I did for @sorinjace a while ago, I've been very busy lately and still haven't been able to paint it. (sorry for the errors in this message, my English is not very good).
wanted a removal spell to get through hexproof, shroud and indestructible. could change the wording to make it get through sacrifice but I don't know how exactly to word it and how powerful that would be
Hey guys I haven't forgotten about this contest its one of the contests I look forward to all year. My account is extremely over the nonpremium limit, so if I want to keep making cards or get one into this contest I need to a) drop 5 bucks asap on my account or delete over (and I do mean over) 1,000 cards. I tried to use my bank card and it wouldn't read it because I have pending transactions. If anyone can help with a premium gifted to my account so I can join in the contest that would be great and I will get them back a premium in return that'd be awesome. Sorry to advertise here but I don't want you guys to think I'm not interested. Plus with my videos on youtube I've been name dropping mtgcardsmith in my mtg booster pack opening videos. My name on there is Exalted Marauder (after my music studio band project name) drop by subscribe and say hi please if you do stop by it'd mean a lot.
@MozVCalenosu that art, as your art always is, is SICK. Omg that is amazing. All this art is amazing. I love how @ElkThin has the steps up on the process of their cards art as well, those are always fun. God I miss drawing so much; it's getting the time to sit down and draw that's not easy.
I love that card. I have it in my edh tribal Pirate deck. I got that red goblin pirate that creates treasures upon etb and it helps me win with that card out. ??
2'x3', pencil, pen, colored pencil on paper So I have about 30 drawings of alpha cards as though they were on Kaladesh (5 more of them are cards on my profile page). I'm known by my peers as having a tiny detailed style with risky pen work to create a floating/enchanting feeling. This is the reart for Animate Dead. Animate Dead was really hard to make art for since the original is already so cool. Being on Kaladesh, the only way to increase coolness wouldn't be with more detail like most alpha cards, it would just be slapping a tiger dragon in as the zombie. Kaladesh lore has implied that there are other mages, but using magic other than artifice is against consulate law. Notably Baral was a mage hunter. I would guess Necromancy is extremely illegal on Kaladesh, but could make for an interesting villain.
