@Tomigon Got another request for you. Can you change the elf's skin tone and hair color to match Vannifar and give her glowy arms? Maybe make the dress black?
@Ranshi, @Tomigon, I made a little something with that "swirling background of damned souls" art (which I used the original a while back on another card) using a custom mechanic of mine:
@joemamajoe That's a cool card. I would want to put the normal casting cost to it ({3} or {4}), but I also understand that you want Mox cards to be {0}. I know you love to make custom mechanics whenever you have chance, but sometimes, cards look better if you don't make everything keyworded. I think you got that idea of "sinful" from madness, but milling happens less often than discarding. And unlike discarding, you don't know what cards will be milled. So it's narrower and less strategic.
@Tomigon I love this thread an your thoughtful analysis of Joe's Mox. I agree that it should have a normal casting cost of {3} in addition to it's sinful cost.
Could you please one or more a Llamas to my profile picutre?
(The painted one on this last one if you choose to use it)
I'd appreciate it if you could add one poking out from behind my brain, with the rest peeking out from the sides or bottom of the picture.
@Letstalkaboutthis and @Tomigon, three people (which are newcomers in mtgcardsmith) believe that Mox of the Damned is totally broken and will be banned in standard, historic, pioneer, and possibly modern, whilst I, you guys, Ral1000, and the eight other people that favorited think it's not. I keep trying to convince them but they don't agree at all. I mean if you draw it, you can't even use it anymore. So, I probably shouldn't change it because some people will get salty.
TL;DR: Do you think it can be broken, even a little bit?
@joemamajoe don't think this is the right place for that, but, for what it's worth, IMO it is way too good with stuff like dredge and I think it would be banned in modern and legacy pretty much immediately
You stated the problem with this yourself- if it goes into your hand, it's completely useless. This won't really come out in the first few turns unless you're super lucky (although this can be abused with Entomb, which could be really scary, but entomb isn't legal in many formats, so that shouldn't really be a problem). Then, with the chance that you do get lucky this could be crazy.
Tomigon is also right about the keyword. Milling your own cards is largely based on luck for what's on top of your library, which makes the ability difficult to become a successful one.
Also, favorites don't really point to good design. Your mox is still a very good design, but its merit does not come from favorites, so don't think about favorites when trying to evaluate a design.
I think that this isn't broken and I feel like it is difficult to play successfully like Tomigon does, but it is still a very interesting design!
@joemamajoe this card is not good enough to be banned in formats without the dredge mechanic. Giving it a normal mana cost would make it playable, but not broken in these formats.
I'm not familiar enough with the current modern metagame to accurately say wether or not the card is too good there, but I would be willing to say that it probably isn't barring more stuff like Hogaak getting printed.
@Usaername self-mill decks that want Faithless Looting would rather be discarding something they can either dredge or cast out of the graveyard than a blank like the Mox. @joemamajoe 's card does next to nothing if it is drawn in it's current state. Like others have suggested, it needs a normal mana cost to be worth a slot in any deck not called "manaless dredge."

Thank you!
You're welcome!

This art is real mtg art made by, my favorite artist, Svetlin Velinov. Can you make these creatures blackish-purple and have four arms?

Also I left comment on Mox of the Damned's page.
I used this art- https://www.deviantart.com/hydraa/art/Teacup-266872017
I also extended the background so that it fits in card better.
Sorry, I don't think I can make their armors leafy.
