The kestrels where already well-adapted to a similar event, however this event all but wiped them out. Instead, their relatives became reliant on the magmatic heat, evolving into the Heatseeker Ibises. The Frogmites are less adapted. They are adapted to living near water, but many of the pools they are used to hunting about have turned to steam. Instead, they have come to live near lava pools, which melts there metal bodies somewhat.
Brass Gnats are also metal, but they are smaller and melt easier. Although one clade evolves similar to the frogmites, most adapt to become locusts, who act as scavengers. Again, not much inhabitable water remains unevaporated. The eels noticed that the water was now in the sky, and went to join it. They now fly among the vapor streams, using their electric powers to shock any Copper Locusts who come near. Finally, the golems simply adapt to the terrain in the simplest way possible. If the ground is molten, so are they.
Yes, you certainly can! It's just that this is way more popular than I expected it to be, and I am sort of overwhelmed. I will get through everyone during the weekend, though!
CREATURES:
The meadow. A peaceful place. A tranquil spot in the middle of the forest, where the birds sing, the sun shines... Yet it is not a place of pure happiness. As many exciting things can happen here as anywhere.
The trickster Feyi sparrows shoot up and down throughout the meadow, their feathers taught and nimble.
Down in the grass, lay several venomous snakes, watching, waiting for their next succulent morsel of prey.
The same can be said about a pack of wolves living in the forest just nearby, for this clearing is a haunt of large herbivores.
Large herbivores like the majestic unicorn, wandering the meadow, pondering its own mystic, indecipherable thoughts.
And all is accented by the singular Meadowboon elemental - seemingly a representation of the meadow glinting underneath the morning sun.
Yet the forces of this world are mighty and cruel. Such tranquility cannot stand here.
An fastly spreading tumbling tangle is coming the way of the meadow, looking to grow a thicket thicker than any thicket this meadow has ever seen. How can this order survive?
I’m sorry, you can just disqualify me. It turns out it’s really hard to find art of spiky vines, and I really don’t have time to do that. Again, sorry.
@DrakeGladis From what I can tell, working through these does take HeroKP some time, and they've been progressively working through a sort of backlog that's presumably being slotted into spare time between other stuff in their life. Please be patient.
