I call this the Kabuto Cycle. 4 versions of Kabuto with unique abilities and playstyles. But all consist of the same mana cost besides Combustor and Genesis
I love this card idea i made i just really do idk why.
this one is one of my favorites you always hear of group hug decks but they always have some sort of win con this one just wants the enemies to stop fighting or help them win.
you never hear anything about weird so i decided to make one that benefit tribal weird
My favorite Commanders I've made I actually made as a rotation. I put a lot of time and thought into these, and I personally think they came out pretty good, though some are probably way more powerful than others. Unfortunately, I didn't really put too much thought into lore than I wanted too, but nonetheless, I really like them. https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/ojawahn-thunder-titan-1?list=set&set=60962
The idea behind these two characters is that they were once benevolent angels who have been corrupted into the ideals of the Phyrexian Praetors. They each represent a dark principle that has been instilled into them by the Praetors. I would like to complete a cycle of five of them, but making 4-color cards that make sense is kind of difficult.
I made her as a possible commander that can scale into a competitive circle but also be fun to play in casual. And I think the drawback I put on her is enough to hone in the power level of the other two abilities.
I made this card as a fun and competitive commander that can spice up Cedh games. I made her second ability balance out the rest of the card as I thought it would be a little too crazy good without it.
Huge commander fan here, so I gotta toss a few cards into this thread.
While Legends Rising was still going, I made a bunch of commanders that are collected here. Out of my other custom commanders though, I'm proudest of these three:
Silver and Blackflame were designed to be a group hug pairing that has some built-in punishment for people that try to hoard your gifts to the table and/or target you first.
Henko was originally made for an ancient 5-color Tiny Leaders challenge, but I think she's more than interesting enough for full-on EDH.
These are legendary creatures with two or more mana colors that I think are really cool as a commander. Some were designed as a commander and others could result in some interesting decks.
Here are a handful that I've designed over the last two years!
Ynda was design for my boyfriend Dan, shortly after we met, with our friend as a stand in with Shae to support a mono green stompy deck.
Izirhia is a lich from one of my favorite D&D campaigns I've ever run. I decided to turn him into a modal commander, with some custom support, since when I designed him and the rest of the deck, there wasn't enough modal support, as AFR hadn't yet been released.
Amsera is a political time shenanigans commander I designed. Originally her eminence cheapened it based on how many extra turns you've taken, but it was too busted and so I made it based on her casts. I use a deck with her on untap.in.
Harqa and Ahktasib are partner commanders I created because I wanted a cycling commander deck that could run all 4 major cycling colors. I used this deck on a stream called the CreativesCommanders, where creators in the magic community are invited to play commander with the two hosts! (Gavin Verhey is subscribed to it, so it was really cool to be on there!)
Speaking of the CreativesCommanders, here is a commander I designed for the artist and host, Andrew Thompson, for the stream using one of his illustrations. He said he likes dragons, combat tricks, and flicker, so I put those all together in a commander that didn't end up the way I expected since he used it in a deck scarier than I thought he would.
Egan is designed to be part of a cycle of precon commander decks of the style of the Strixhaven ones, using the ally colors instead of the enemies. (I never finished this project.)
Hessua was the same deal as Egan. (Sorry for the lackluster description.)
Uzul, Who Rallies the Ignoble was designed as an answer to there being no commanders who care explicitly about cheap creatures. I tried designing a deck around him, but turns out it was much easier to just make a Rat Colony deck with him.
I wanted to test a "die then revive" theme? Lots of sorceries casted around bringing you up (that aren't white and green), and then bringing your opponents down.
I like using land synergy in decks. This basically is a big creature equivalent in white, but as well as creatures, spells, like this one
Just creatures! Cast creatures, they'er bigger than normal attack with them, so on.
I feel like Alice should say "creatures you control," or else you are buffing your opponents' creatures too. That's a lot of downside with a 5 mana 0/4.
A somewhat new card I made a few months ago, Demetrius, Majesty's Mistral is the depiction of a former planeswalker who craves to reclaim his birthright. After many failed attempts to slay a planeswalker and use their spark for his own benefit, Demetrius changed his methods, instead delving into the secrets of planeswalking to create a synthetic spark with the help of many acolytes devoted to uncovering the mysteries as well, at any cost.
Basically he's esper superfriends who allows you to use planeswalkers for more than just their abilities.
Comments
I think you can probably tell what my favorite kind of card is to create from these three.
Also could someone tell me how to post cards next to each other horizontally and not vertically, I feel like this is taking up more space than needed.

Of note, their manager is helping to arrange matches that let them put the smackdown on evil!
A Jund sacrifice commander that's slightly political.
Another sacrifice commander, but with reanimator in an interesting way.
A snow commander I made a while back.
