Powerful 1R Creature Contest

1B : Dark Confidant

Even if these creatures aren't really part of a cycle, they are all 2 mana creatures that are powerful enough to see play in modern and legacy (SM in banned in modern, I know). This challenge is to complete this "cycle".

Rules :
It must be a creature
It must cost 1R
It must be good, but not too OP
Bonus on flavor/art/wording

The goal of this challenge is to make a very good card, on the edge of bannworthy, but not too OP.

For each card, I'll comment weak or OP. The first one to get the powerlevel right wins!

@MultiverseExplorer Cool card, pretty powerful, but I would say slightly too weak, but maybe I'm wrong. What do you guys think of the powerlevel of this card?
@fabiocbinbutter Interesting card, pretty good balanced, but in a mono red burn deck, this is definitly OP.
