Ravnica Under Siege [ A Custom Set of Ravnica Facing an Ancient Threat ]
Although a little oddly timed, seeing as Shadows of Innistrad / Eldritch Moon and Battle for Zendikar / Oath of the Gatewatch have ancient threats coming to the surface, Ravnica isn't alone in its own fight
Ravnica Under Siege is a set based around the time Jace left his duties as the Guildpact to aid the bleeding world of Zendikar and search for Sorin Markov after defeating the Eldrazi titans Ulamog and Kozilek alongside his fellow Planeswalkers. As ancient and mythic beings stir from the old bones and stones of Ravnica, the city becomes fractured, plagued by angered ancients who seek to reclaim their home.
Still working on the ( very ) rough draft of the set, I'll spare some of the fun details and wait until I'm finished with Rings of Vryn : )
I do, in fact, have the smaller details and statistics finished for what the set aims to be !
[ Custom Mechanics ] 11 [ Ascendancy, Resource, Dire Need and more TBA ]
[ Appearing MTG Canon Characters ] Ral Zarek, Vraska, and more !
[ Three–Letter Code ] RUS
[ Set Themes ] Slight unity between certain guilds

Custom Mechanics
Ascendancy C (Whenever this or another Nephilim enters the battlefield under your control, you may pay C.)
Ascendancy goes to the Nephilim creature type on Ravnica which makes more of an appearance. Due to their odd and unique nature, all creatures with this mechanic have different effects depending if you pay a creature's Ascendancy cost or not! Still in testing, but I'm sure it won't be changed too much from my original idea : )
Resource # (At the start of your turn you may put the bottom # cards of your library into your graveyard. If you do, add that much mana of one color to your mana pool. This mana doesn't empty from your mana pool until the end of your first main phase.)
Resource ( still placeholder name ) is a mechanic designed with the Golgari in mind ! It generates mana at the cost of using a resource you have, but may eventually grow to regret using up what was in store for later. May be changed and or re worked, but we'll see
Dire Need C (You may cast this spell for its Dire Need cost as if it was an instant.)
Dire Need calls for a mana cost that is different than its original, sometimes greatly and sometimes just more mana in general. It is designed with the righteous Boros enforcement in mind, where they are the first to act to aid those in need !
Carnage # (Whenever a non-token creature dies you may pay C. If you do, this permanent deals # damage to target creature or player.)
Rakdos, bloodthirsty crazies : )
Adapt - Whenever this creature becomes targeted by an ability or spell you don't control it has [ buffs ] until end of turn.
Simic just gets scary sometimes !
Revolutionize (As you cast this, if this spell's converted mana cost is greater than the last instant or sorcery played earlier this turn you may copy this spell once.)
Izzet fun stuff !
More in the works, but these are the ones I'm releasing!

It was a toss up between Kaladesh and Ravnica, but I decided to make this my next project because I feel like I needed more to go on for Kaladesh, or at least have some more inspiration. Hopefully I'll be able to get to this project soon after ROV : )
oh yeah ! I have all my documents and design notes using the Magic Set Editor and figured to help get some people interested in potentially looking at or helping RUS in the future with a spoiler !
A spoiler for each rarity, all early designs, a card from each rarity and its own logo and set symbol ! : ) Enjoy
2/14/2016 spoiler along with some concept to finished comparisons : )

+3: Put a 1/1 avatar token of all colors onto the battlefield with "whenever a creature enters the battlefield, draw a card."
-4: Creatures you control get +1/+1 for each different creature type you control until end of turn
-12: you gain an emblem with "if a creature you control has any evergreen ability, then all creatures you control gain that ability."
Starting loyalty: 4
Just a notice, but Ravnica normally has like, <40% card count as gold cards, just saying.
also the reason for so many gold cards is because the nephilim, which are primarily multicolor are in this set.
but yeah, I'll see about doing something along the lines of how General Tazri was created, abilities that make the card 5color. : )
Here you go ! a bonus teaser to the third and final planeswalker in the set
