It may be a technicality (actually it was the whole reason for the contest in the first place), but the first requirement is that the art must be public domain or copyleft art, such as creative commons.

Would I have placed if that was the name and the first ability didn't cost {1}? Pure curiosity. Because I never would have made it for tapped creatures - I just thought gaining 1 life every turn with no cost at all was pretty powerful to have another ability.
@CrucibleOfHate Well you did place second! If I were weighing all three of my criteria evenly, then with those edits it would have gotten first. However, since I was really focusing on flavor, I still would have given it to Mordeau, even with my suggestions above. (Actually, if I used all three criteria evenly, even without the edits your card would have gotten first, since Mordeau was average on creativity and pretty shaky on mechanics)
