  • I can say this for about half the people on this site confidently, @kauyon. Wat?
  • I'm 14 on April 12th, I live in New Mexico: The Land of broken glass and dreams - I mean Enchantment, yeah, Land of Enchantment... I plan on going into a job involving information technology (Computers & Programming). I play the Cello and belong to the Mormon Church.

My name is Krystian (male, of course), I'm 22 and I live in Poland.
I'm trying to find a job... my very first job... living in my country is sometimes a nightmare... XD
Anyway... I love everything related to Japan, reading books, playing tabletop games (especially... wait for it... MAGIC: THE GATHERING), rock music, travelling and photography. ^^
  • 17 male, hail from Brazil. Been changing from house to house since young, and a few years ago, from a state to another. Currently achieving for superior studies on interpreting/translating work like Grimshac is, only regarding English to Portuguese works instead. Kinda harsh being apart from people I've known since forever and I sure don't feel like I changed much from 3 years ago, but I guess I'm getting used to it.

4 years younger than my sole older sister. Two cats on the house, currently midfight for territorial superiority I suppose, as they're both female and have quite the age gap between'em.

I really enjoy puns and wordplay, unfortunately it doesn't seem to be very popular around here. I enjoy listening to disco and jazz, and that's pretty much it.

I am a teenage average kid, the youngest in my family, (although my brother has autism) living in southern California.

Well... I play Halo, a tiny bit of Magic, though I mostly quit, chill with my friends, and read a lot.

The 3 things I spend most of my time doing, is cardsmithing, books, and playing my trumpet.

I do read a whole variety of books, including adventure, and other stuff, with one of my favorite books being Game of Thrones, but one weird thing is a read a lot of romance. And I'm a guy. Just don't question it...

I do play a couple video games, mainly just Halo and World of Tanks.

I love Korean food and Sushi. And Mint Chocolate Chip Ice cream.

I also spend around 1-2 hours a day practicing my trumpet. I'm really good, and I play in my school band, my church worship team, and I mainly just play for fun.

I do have a question: I noticed @Faiths_Guide plays many instruments (including the trumpet!), so do you have like a music degree? It would be cool if we got all of our musicians on Cardsmith to all play together online!

Edit: Oh, and @DomriKade too? Man, we got 3 trumpet players here!
  • I'm from São Paulo - Brazil, I'm 31 years old, public employee and single (but I almost married two times). I play MtG since last year, I learned between Modern Masters 2015 and Magic Origins. I play modern, legacy and pauper, I have now these decks:
    GW Aggro Legacy
    RG Aggro Legacy
    RU Midrange Modern
BW Tribal Human Warriors Aggro Modern
and two paupers based in heroic, a UW and a Jund

I am headbanger, pet lover (I have 3 cats), I have "guts" to watch any terror or snuff movie, I'm an amater writer, I love MMA and at least twice a week I like to pick a recipe at internet and cook for my mother, my elder sister, her son and her husband (but I don't like to cook for her husband, but my sister always bring him to my house).
  • I can't believe this. I could've sworn I've posted here.

I am from the U.S. (trust me, everything that kills you tastes delicious), and am turning 18 this December 13th. I'm currently extremely stressed with school, while not caring at the same time. (Parents, after all.) I enjoy cooking, reading, and being your usual video game addicted teenager. I dabble in writing, though I'm no good at it.

As far as MTG for me goes, I am a primarily GB player, though I play every color except white. I hate winning the "usual" way, and love using alternate win conditions. (Or, in the case of Hive Mind, alternate loss conditions.) As a result, I'm that guy everyone hates who plays Infect, Infect EDH, all that good stuff. Oh, and killing everything's a load of fun.
  • @TrippleBoggey3
No music degree for me. One of my younger brothers conducts quite a number of private school bands, he also has no degree.
  • There's not so much to tell about me. I'm 17, I live in Czech Republic, my name is Ondřej (Andrew in English) and I'm a very boring person. I have an older brother and a younger brother.

My main interests are of course mtg, computer games (although I play only Smite and a bit of Dota 2), music - creating, listening, everything about it. I play the guitar (not very well) and the bass guitar (even worse). I listen to everything except popular and dance music - basically I don't like bland music with repetitive themes. My favourite genres are electro pop, electroswing and symphonic metal.

I'm also a Christian, in one of the most atheistic countries in the world - the more surprising to me is how many of you actually are believers.
  • @Flatfish

I'm like you, incredibly boring, as well as irritable, disagreeable and, over all, a not very nice person.
  • @KimJongMartin Nice to meet you then :)
  • @Flatfish
It is nice to discover how many believers are on this site. The mods actively discourage religious topics of discussion but it's nice to know that we exist. Unrelated, I'm a console peasant but I also play Smite every now and again - I'd play it more but it's quite a time commitment. Rocket League is my current go-to.

Well, talking about ice cream, I got an ice cream machine and a ben and jerries ice cream and dessert cook book for my birthday :D My favorite is chocolate peanut butter and I cane make me some whenever I want.
Well, you may have foud out that I am female and german, living in Bremen with my boyfriend, who works as a programmer. I work as a bookseller, but I also went to university and graduated in german studies, linguistics and cultural studies. I loved the first two, but cultural studies was kind of silly. Nevertheless, it broadend my knowledge and whatever does so is fine.
I love roleplaying games and started playing them when I was 16, which is about 24 years ago. My favorite is D&D but since I like playing characters and not a certain system, I tried a lot of different stuff.
I also love reading of course and take whatever falls into my hands. Magic is a hobby of mine for about 1 1/2 years, I guess and I like it, when I am not about to give it up because of losing too often.
I also like computer games, first of all rpgs and am quite fond of the elder scrolls and the gothic and risen series. Right now, I am playing the witcher 2 wich is great. I was a quite good TF2 player for a while, but left that behind a few month ago.
I like good rock music from AM Taxi, the Police and Kula Shaker to Metallica, Rob Zombie and Gold Finger. The Police is the reason, i started playing the bass, but I do it much too seldom at the moment.
I've got a younger sister and two cats. Well at least for a while, since one of the cats is ill and won't see christmas anymore, I fear. All in all, I love all animals and all flavors.
  • @KimJongMartin
What type of novel is it (genre wise)?
I'm a writer too, though nowhere as close to finishing anything haha. I write epic high fantasy (think like Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, etc.), and I've been writing my current one for about three and a half years (cause I'm a perfectionist and tend to go back, erase everything, and start over. I'm currently at like 300 pages so we'll see how far it goes this time). I always wish I was better at writing, but I've accepted that I'm gonna pull a Robert Jordan and croak before I've ever finished my novels haha (it sounds like a joke but it's probably not. I've got the storylines for 23 novels already completely mapped out I just need to write and not delete it all).

Other than that, I'm a college student studying anthropology and looking to also study some political philosophy. I love Magic, started playing in Khans and absolutely love it. I'm also a huge gamer. Give me a controller and you won't see me for a few days haha.

And then I love to read, but unfortunately, reading for leisure seems to vanish in college, so I'm looking forward to my next break so I can sit down and go through all of the Tolkien books again.
  • @RohanDragoon

The original one was more fantasy. Now I'm rewriting it, it's more like a Victorian murder-mystery mixed with fantasy (better than it sounds, I hope. A guy gets murdered, by an evil sorcerer. Eventually, Titus, the main character, stumbles across the world the sorcerer lives in).

I also love reading. I love books more than I love people (sort of joking).

I've got a lot of novel ideas mapped out in my head, but not on paper. If there's anything I learnt writing, it's that you should never have a strict plan to stick to - just have a very vague one in your head.
  • @KimJongMartin
Exactly! That's what usually trips me up when I write is that I develop the story faster than I can put it into words and end up not staying true to my characters. I also think I struggle cause I have multiple POVs (up to eleven right now) and spacing and drawing them out to fit together well is a real struggle
  • @DomriKade, Yup, I just noticed that too. So many Christians... and so many trumpet players too. It's nice to find a place where there still are some believers around.

And so you play trumpet... hmmm... it appears that is the most popular instrument around here...
  • That's because people like to toot their own horn.

    ^I'm not
That was only a bad joke.

What!?! People are revealing their ages and talking about themselves!?! This just might change everything! ;)

I'm the guy in the photo. The girl is my girlfriend. I'm 20 years old, and live in the state of Indiana in the US. I'm the younger of two boys. My favorite color is green. My favorite magic color to play is also green. I'm pretty sure God created mint to be put in ice cream, just sayin! I work in IT, but my dream is to be an accountant. Another year and a half and I'll have my bachelors degree. Then I'll start on a Masters and CPA. I am a member of a pretty good sized church named Northside. I used to have the time to help with the tech/camera team there but with school I had to drop it. I'm also in an intense Bible study there that's a 21 month survey class through the whole Bible with an awesome group of guys (only 5 months to go!!!) I love my church.

Hobbies: I'm huge into video games, movies, and roleplaying games @Mila. @TrippleBoggey3 Huge fan of halo, but I miss Bungie. Been more into Dark Souls lately. Most of my time spent with my family is watching films, going to the movies, and going out to eat. :) My favorite movies are pretty much all of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Dungeons and Dragons is my absolute favorite thing to do for fun, but I don't get to play it often because it is very difficult to get all of my friends together at one time. I'm big into almost all foods and I like to joke as much as I possibly can!

@KJMartin That's really awesome that you're writing a book! :D My older brother is actually also writing a book that is an allegory of the Bible (kind of like Narnia). Your summary of what your writing sounds a lot like a story I would be very into. Maybe I'll have your book on my shelf one day. ;)

@Faiths_Guide What!?! You're only 22?? I always assumed you were a really old wizard cooped up in a wizard tower doing wizard things!! ;D
  • @Death_Methods
    Haha! Maybe!
I actually scrapped that story. My most recent one is set in a world ruled by the eight mightiest magic families (in this world, magic runs through the bloodline. You also don't know who a couple of the families are until later on) who are currently at war. The main character is a girl who lives in one of the few cities not at war, part of the Califeus family, although they have fallen into debt and hard times.
  • As you can tell from my avatar, I'm Noodle from Gorillaz.
  • @strongbelieves
    I prefer pasta in Chimpanzeez.
  • edited January 2017
That was a joke. I actually quite like Gorillaz.
  • @Death_Methods
Wizards, time-travel, and age; that's all I'll say.

Good luck with your 5 remaining months! That's cool about your church and family dude!
  • @Faiths_Guide Thanks :)
    @KJMartin Sounds really awesome! :)

So, everyone just told about themselves here, eh? Fine then. I'm just an anorexic (I'm 21 and my weight is just around 50 kg), talentless guy that also has low-blood pressure who lives with my family in a poverty-ridden and corrupted country. Thankfully my mother is now living in Germany with her second husband so I still get a few money to do stuffs.

I also have no girlfriend because I don't even have enough money to buy a gaming console and I'm also currently going to a college although it probably also offers no clear future.

I usually go to an internet cafe to do gaming crap on an old PC with low-quality graphics and browse stuffs like this MTG whatsoever because installing a wifi is too expensive, for now.

My wish for the future: I hope I die quickly and painlessly (Lol). And I don't have any single physical card because nobody sells it here unless you buy it online.

    There. Any question?
  • @sanjaya666 Sounds pretty depresing, I actually kind of feel bad for you. What country do you live in (just curious)?
  • edited January 2017
    @Flatfish
Its Indonesia, boss. Though the government is terrible, the climate is technically nice.
  • @sanjaya666

Considering the number you use after your name, I seriously hope you do not wish to kill yourself. Life has hope, and with hope, through God, you will have life. Let not sinful evil thoughts overtake you. Hopefully you will find joy in life, and reach a good point in college to find a bright future.

I always have a soft heart for those in need. If you ever need help, I will try my best to assist you.
