Nominations for Major Upcoming Contest

Introduction and Explanation

Our benevolent benefactor, MTGCardsmith, just released a new minor update to the site. Minor update you say? What's this minor update all about? Well, it's the tribal supertype for sorceries, instants, enchantments and artifacts. Creatures have always been able to be tribal thanks to subtypes but now we can vastly expand what kind of tribal cards we make.

So it is time to hold a contest. A big contest. A huge contest. I'm talking packs and premium memberships as prizes. We've got a theme, we've got an idea and now we want to hear from the community their nominations for one of the details.

The contest's theme is going to be Color War. W v U v B v R v G v C. What we need from you guys are nominations for what tribe should represent each color. Here's what the primary color breakdown looked like in the main miniblock that used tribal, Lorwyn/Morningtide:
  • White - Kithkin
  • Blue - Merfolk, Faeries
  • Black - Goblins
  • Red - Elementals, Giants
  • Green - Elves, Treefolk
  • Colorless - Eldrazi (as seen in Rise of the Eldrazi)
Yes, all of the tribes had secondary colors and yes the colors shifted when the miniblock became Shadowmoor/Eventide but that isn't important. What we want to hear is what you think the tribe representing each color should be.

What to Post

This one is easy. All you need to do is post a color and a tribe, for example:
Red, Demons
You could even mix is up and do something like:
Demons, red
We are very flexible.

That's what we want to see. You can make as many nominations for as many colors as you want. If someone beat you to posting your idea, post it anyway to show support for it. The ones that get picked wont necessarily be the ones nominated the most times but it will help decision-making.

Your post can be funny, serious, bizarre, obvious, it's all fair game.

What Not to Post

  1. Any of the tribes from the bulleted list above. That means no elves, merfolk, goblins, faeries, elementals, treefolk, kithkin, giants or eldrazi. Any other tribal type from MTG history (or one you come up with yourself) is fair game.
  2. Cards. This is not a place to show off an idea you have for a tribe. Save your good ideas for the contest, it is going to be worth it.
  3. Things that couldn't be real cards. The contest itself will be for realistic MTG cards so please no Jedi, no Kryptonians, no Autobots and no Devil Fruit users, to name some examples.

TL;DR

Post a tribe and a color to suggest it as the tribe to represent that color in a major upcoming contest.
