paper??

what kind of paper is the best for duplicating the magic card thickness and quality. and also a printer suggestion, mine seems not to get the right colors when i compare to an original card. thanks..

    When I'm making "tokens", I just use standard paper, cut out the "token", and slide it into a sleeve over a land card.

    I put sticker paper in my printer and print cards nine to a sheet. They are 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches and to print those dimensions takes 750 pixels by 1050 pixels. You won't get the correct thickness with any sort of paper, Carta Mundi prints real MtG cards with a thin layer of plastic inside, there's no exact substitute. So, the best thing I find to keep the correct feel is just to cut out the sticker and put it on a real Magic card. It's easy to get a bunch of "junk" cards from a store or players cheaply since unplayable commons build up over time and take up room, they're glad to get rid of them. If you're making proxies of real cards, I recommend magic.bluebones.net/proxies since you can put the number you want to print followed by the exact name of the card and it give it to you printer-ready at the correct dimensions. For creations from Cardsmith, just save them to your computer and adjust the size as you put them into a Photoshop or Paint style program. When you have 9 on the image, you're ready to print. Be sure to save your work if you want to reprint later. For color on the printer, it's better to have a multicolor printer that uses several different ink cartridges rather than a single color cartridge. You can get to sharper color separations and bolder hues. It also needs less replacing if you use a lot of a certain color like blue.
