Kramp theme Kontest 1: History
Hello! I am starting a new series of contests featuring a specific theme! Today's topic: History! You can make cards based on recent history, ancient history, and anything in between! Just make sure your card is mostly historically correct. I would recommend keeping entries to a specific person or event, but if you would like to make a generic WW2 pilot, no one is going to stop you! Here are some examples:
A Person: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/adolf-hitler-48?list=set&set=9909
An Event: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/the-battle-of-myeongnyang?list=set&set=9909
The contest ends on Sunday, may 22nd at 12:01 AM and will be judged the same day.
Prizes:
1st Place: 5 likes on the card of your choice.
2nd Place: 3 likes on the card of your choice
3rd Place: 1 like on the card of your choice.
Participation: Your entry will be liked.
You may enter UP TO 2 cards. You are allowed to edit the text on your submission as long as you only edit a previous submission, and you do not enter a new one.
Happy Smithing,
Kramp

Vanishing N (This permanent enters the battlefield with N time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from it. When the last is removed, sacrifice it.)
My entry, hope you like

Honorable Mention: @UnbrokenDragon http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/joan-of-arc-1
I like this card a lot! The only reason I did not score this card higher is because I felt that the card did not feel all that much like Joan of Arc.
2nd Place: @bieux http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/the-black-death-8
This card feels just like a plague to me! I like the flavor, but unfortunately the card feels a bit OP to me. Even with the vanishing, being able to give everything infect for the first 5 turns of the game feels extremely OP. Otherwise, nice job!
1st Place: @AlphaOmega http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/a-terribly-unfortunate-event
@Beeswax http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/hypatia-of-alexandria
I love both of these cards. A Terribly Unfortunate Event is absolutely hilarious, and was also the most balanced entry I received. Not to mention that flavor text...
Hypatia is really super cool, and I adore the flavor behind this card. I felt that while Hypatia was not as balanced as A Terribly Unfortunate Event, it is a much more fun card to play. My only complaint here is that the soldier tokens created by Hypatia have protection from Blue and White. I feel this is bad because once they are on the board, it is impossible for a W/U deck to deal with. Otherwise, nice job!
Please PM me as soon as possible to get your likes. Peace!
