A small preview of a set being worked on - We're still looking for collaborators!

edited June 2016 in Custom Card Sets
Hey guys! We have started development ever so slightly, and currently, I am working with @Linjam @Cryptonight @Lujikul and @Touchstone to craft the world our cards will come from.

I want to showcase some of the mechanics and themes we will be working with, so tune in here!

Disclaimer: The cards below are not necessarily PART of the time - They are just "display cards" meant to show the mechanics off to the world!

Solemn Wanderer
This card is not specific to BG, but just a way to showcase Aptitude - Aptitude exist in all colors, more in some than others.

Auris Sentry
As with anything else, if there is a strong presence of magic on the plane, so will there be anti-magic folks. Well, this is their mechanic.

Cardname WIP - Aptitude showcase
This one isn't posted on the site because we lack art for it (and posting transforming cards on the site is a pain ^^) . Spell Threshold was the WIP name for "Aptitude".
We will be using double-faced cards in the set, as a way to represent a mage mastering magic of another color than his "primary" - More lore will be explained at a later point, but the gist of it is that magic exists everywhere on the plains and there is an extraordinary amount of it on this particular planes.

Inia, Reckless Summoner
Black and red will be doing of effects in this fashion - Immediate payoff, could go awry in the long run. We call it an "implicit" mechanic as we have yet to find a good way to keyword this... theme, without limiting it.

Oh, also, Nicol Bolas and Tezzeret will stop by and play major roles in the set!

We're still looking for more people to join in on project - I can tell you that it has been an explicit pleasure to work with everyone in on the set so far. You can find more info on the project here: http://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/discussion/1604/ever-wanted-to-make-your-own-set-then-play-it-both-in-a-limited-and-a-constructed-environment#latest
