The good news is that I opened a whoooooooooooole box of Eternal Masters and decided to spice the rares up a bit so the contest wouldn't suck. There is now going to be a pool of 7 rares in the draft, any 3 of which can be picked. They include the above rares as well as Void, Regal Force, Karmic Guide and Isochron Scepter! Once three of them have been picked, only the commons and uncommons that are left can be picked.
I also figured that since I was giving the rares a bit of a boost, I'd take the opportunity to optimize the uncommons with some of the best in the set. The 9 uncommons in the draft are:
- Rancor
- Animate Dead
- Flame Jab
- FOIL Brainstorm
- Mesa Enchantress
- Flinthoof Boar
- Daze
- Roar of the Wurm
- Worn Powerstone
There will also be 33 commons available to draft, as I removed the gain 1 life dual lands and replaced them with actual cards people would want. They will be posted when the contest ends in the full list of available cards.Here is how it is going to work for those of you who haven't paid attention:
- The first place player will pick a card of their choice from the pool and post their choice in this thread
- The 2nd place player will do the same
- The 3rd place player will do the same
- Repeat until each player has selected 5 cards
Entries are still allowed until the end of Friday, July 15th so there's still time to make your entries or edit them!I'm seriously considering entering now!

It is up to the winners whether they want to draft for pure value or for cards they need in their decks, or even just cards they like. Over all, the value of the draft pool is a heck of a lot more than a few packs.
