Fiends of Athera Challenge
Athera Collaboration Set is looking for your help!
Lamo and I want you to try your hand at making some cards to help fill a faction within our set.
We will look at every card made and the ones we like will earn a spot in the set. Each card selected will be given credit to the original cardsmith. If you add a link to your art source we can often use the same art, but if you cannot, that's alright too! In some cases we may change the art or functionality of the card to better fit inside the vision of the Athera Set.
Below is the lore of the Fiend faction as well as a card count and card list. Please take a look and help us fill out this set!
FIENDS of ATHERA - Black/Red
The fiends of Athera appeared at the same time as the Tower of Druaga, and they seem to be drawn to it somehow. They don't make blatant attacks upon the citizenry, in order to retain access to the Tower, but they are friendly neither with the Cityfolk nor the Adventurers. Inside the tower, all bets are off as various explorers fight for territory. They exist in black and in red, and are composed of Demons, Horrors, Assassins, and Berserkers.
Their mechanic is Victimize, which reads "Whenever you activate an ability of a creature you control, you may pay {b/r}. If you do, this creature deals 1 damage to target creature or player."
The suggested cost bump for Victimize is 1. Note that Victimize can go on any permanent.

I'm not sure about the creature type.. The art says it's an Elf, but the color is BR so I make it Devil instead. If you add this, you can change it whatever you want.

Yes this is just a black demon with some flavor, it is not trying to victimize people....it just wants to kill them when they enter the tower. I might turn my attention to spells and enchantments for you all next.
