It works like Tempting Offer, but it's mandatory instead.

Nemesis is like friendship, but instead each player gets to choose an opponent and set them back: i.e. Nemesis' Fall lets everyone destroy a creature their opponent controls.

Pact, well, it works like a pact, so therefore ignores hexproof and shroud. (How would you make a pact with someone then?) Each player in a pact gets a beneficial effect, sometimes not.

The name is inspired by an auctioneering concept; if you win something at an auction, you've won, obviously, but only because you've paid more than everyone else thinks it's worth. Anyway, this incentivizes suicide black, which is always a fun deck type.
