@MrRansom: Also, I forgot to respond to your first comment. That sounds like a great idea, making an enchantment for each! (Except the name for the last one should be Guile of the Ulbyss.)
  • @Krazykobold98, I wish you'd responded earlier, if only because your Nocturnia lore was fresh in my head at that point. I will need to re-familiarize myself with your world now. It's ok, it will be fun. :)
If you have any ideas for how you think each enchantment should function to be fun while keeping the flavor of each faction apparent, please let me know. :D
  • @MrRansom: Ok, here are my ideas for the other enchantments. I changed the names a bit, since 1) I realized that you were doing the names of the locations for these, so Guile of the Ulbyss wouldn't make as much sense, and 2) Wealth of Dyminion just didn't sound right to me, so I added 'the'.

(UWG) Order of Iylvail, (RWG) Power of Ny'eca, (BRG) Might of Khul'Shar, (RUB) Guile of Murkwater, (UBW) Wealth of the Dyminion

I'm thinking that you could possibly make each enchantment interact with both mechanics of its respective faction, in such a way that it'd have two parts; one would be the main effect, which would be the triggered or continuous effect. The other would be either something the enchantment does when it enters/leaves the battlefield or an effect you have to pay mana for. Each effect will interact with a separate mechanic (or if the mechanics are really similar, such as Suppress and Blight, then both effects could interact with both mechanics, I suppose).

    What do you think?
  • Again, I am not thrilled by this design, but it's a starting point: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/order-of-iylvail#.VYhafYJdU8o
  • Oh my gosh! I can't believe I forgot to announce the winners for this! I just got so busy, and was inactive for so long that I guess it just slipped from my mind.
Well, I'm sorry everyone, I know I'm WAY overdue in saying this, but I will try to find some time to review everything and then finally announce winners. Again, I know this was months ago and I messed up, but I hope you guys will appreciate me finishing this, at least!
  • well this looks neat, though care to explain wrath? I've yet to find a card with it's italicized description.
  • @pyrak thanks! If you hadn't noticed already, this was posted a few months ago (as explained in the comment above yours). If you want more info about the NOC Block, you should look at my recent forum post NOC Block ANNOUNCEMENT. There you'll find a link to the introductory page, which contains an explanation of the whole set, including Wrath.

Also, even though this is from a bit ago, since I still haven't posted winners and need to review everything anyway, I'll still accept submissions, as long as they're fairly soon.
  • I didn't find any cards with the italics explaining the wrath function.
  • @Gelectrode I like the card, but I would like to keep the used mechanics down to just the evergreen abilities and the abilities that I have released for the set so far. I might use it for the second or third sets, though. Either that, or just make the ability a standalone ability. Like I said, though, I like it!
