I'm sure he didn't mean to, but when @Gelectrode made 'Feed', it's basically the same as my old mechanic, 'Carnivorous', except mine had the additional clause '...You may exile it. If you do, put N +1/+1 counters on this creature'.
@KimJongMartin, I made "Feed" independently at a summer camp long ago, for a friend making a set with Vampires in it. Since I was good at making abilities, I made every ability for his set.
Yeah, I knew a person like Gelectrode wouldn't have copied me, and, when I posted that comment, I was a foolish youngster, and so probably didn't even know what the mechanic encyclopedia was.
Just a quick question @Corwinnn , how many mechanic challenges do you think there will be? I'm pretty sure nobody really knows, but I'm just curious...
I managed to get 3 mechanics in one card, and I think they synergise well together and with the tribal theme I went for. I might do another submission later, but I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out:
Repair: I really like how this one turned out flavorfully. It's a giant wall that you actually have to repair for it to be effective, and on top of that, you need a creature to go in and actually repair it and keep it up
Personally, I think Spoils of War could have benefited from a "reveal cards from the top of that player's library until you reveal an artifact card. Put that card onto the battlefield under your control. That player shuffles his or her library." A lot of decks run a really powerful artifact, so it's kind of difficult to gauge power. I kill a 1/1 and can for free put Skysovereign, Darksteel Colossus, or some other gigantic artifact creature, but I digress

Sadly, I deleted the card with the mechanic, but you can see I haven't edited the comment, thus it is 100% real.

That was posted a year before your post @KimJongMartin, so I'm thinking @Gelectrode was right... great minds do think alike!
XD

And it's not 'Martim' by the way. XD
