In general i wanted to make use of a decay theme, combined with a corruption of Garruks old abilities. I adapted the transform theme from the Veil Cursed, because i wanted to cover the same idea but more extreme.
The Shaman of the Dark Covens was designed to adapt to the "mental state" of Garruk when he is around.
The rare search card with the added benefit of perhaps gaining life.

Thanks for @Flatfish for the tip. Fixed the text such that it read "less than" instead of "larger than" so it's easier to work.
@TastyCheez , clearly I'm refering to the terrors of the night, and nothing silly like ponies. That would just be nonsense.
@Flatfish , Berrim was an alias that Jace used during his first Planeswalk to Ravnica. Here's the story article, if you're curious.
First, the award for best original planeswalker goes to... (drumroll)... @AustinSmith , for Garruk, Darkness Consumed!
There were a surprising number of Garruk entries, but this one was my favorite! It's strong, but fair in my eyes, and reads like a Garruk, Apex predator that I might actually get to play.
And secondly, the award for best overall submission goes to @Flatfish , for his Koth series!
For me, this series was a slam dunk in all the areas I was looking for, including balance and commitment to the Planeswalker's themes (since nothing is more Kothy than an unhealthy love of Mountains)! Your walker, Koth, Defiant Earthshaper, was also a strong contender for the best original Planeswalker award!
Congratulations to both of our winners! You win boundless adoration and five likes each from me, whenever you ask!
