Khare, the Great Cityport (Ongoing)
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls to Khare, the Greatest City in the world! I am your guide, the prolific map-maker Tarius in the Artists' Quarter. Here is the map of our great city:
Khare is a troubled city, full of treachery, lies and thieves. So, travellers and nomads, what is it that you are here for? You are to create all the citizens of our fellow town, as well as many artifacts, spells and enchantments - lands too - each one you make having a lore interaction to the last card made.
We shall be starting off with our Lord Mayor:
For example, my fellow nomads, you could now make the man that killed the mayor, or his long-lost brother, or a servant ect.
Let's say he was murdered by a bloodthirsty pirate, known as Gem's, crew:
It would then be your job to create a card related to Gem (this is just an example, so we're still going with the mayor).
There are, however, some laws you must follow if you are to visit Khare:
Rules:
- As many entries as you want, although please don't spam.
- Don't make two entries in a row.
- Please write a short paragraph/couple of sentences explaining how your card relates to the last card made, and it would be helpful if you could say where the cards belong on the map (mine, for example, belong in the port, and the mayor belongs in Mansion's Row).
- Any card type.
- You may make as many cards as you like leaving off the last card.
- pLease make sure someone can lead off your card.
- Only NEW cards.
Prizes:
Every month or so, the mayor has decreed, there shall be great prizes for the best cards created that month (or so):
1st place: 5 favorites + a follow.
2nd place: 3 favorites + a follow.
3rd place: 1 favorite + a follow.
All cards that the mayor shall like will also be favorited.

Claiming close relation with Sivant and even to be under his direct orders, the "Tax Collector" of Fireview Square does quite well for himself. Phony documents and big words usually are enough to procure for his pouch some additional coinage. Those that struggle are quickly halted by one or more of his bought off ruffians.
"As you're well aware" he's been known to say "when you procured such a trade you subjected yourself to a rather strict term of use. Did you really think your chicken of equal value to those eggs?"

Alright, so there is an elite group of Assassins who work just of Fireview Square. They can be hired by anyone, for the right price...
Going with the whole Rogues, theives and assassins vibe, I decided to make a reprint of "Rogue's Passage" from the 'Return to Ravnica' Magic; The Gathering set, cause you know - sewers are fast shortcuts in Khare; for those who dare to use them, at the very least.

As the mayor's advisors' efforts to try and stifle the corruption and evil that lurks everywhere in Khare intensify, their efforts lead them to not just the infestations that lurk in back alleys and sewers, but also in the mysterious forges beneath Khare - and particularly the Artists' quarter...
I, map-maker Tarius, have discovered after investigating the clanking that comes from beneath my study where I work on mapping out the whole plane that, in these forges, twisted artificers are building an abomination - a clockwork horror, that none will be able to stop, and is even more evil than the abominations that thrive in other parts of Khare...
"Her countenance belies her optimism" Sivant thought to himself.
"In truth, what facts have you and the rest found?" He said aloud "Thefts and corruption run rampant whilst all we collect are meager clues! There must be some assured information that can be uncovered to give us the means to abolish this gross misappropriation and rampant cruelty!"
"Sire," came the tentative reply from the counselor "we're doing all that we can. Khare is larger even than it seems, the Docks aren't as secure as necessary, there are even rumors of vessels discharging goods and vagabonds in The Red Quarter before ever reaching the Docks! The rogues that navigate the little rivercraft can't be trusted in the least, and yet they facilitate our primary source of commerce."
"Well" the now weary Sivant replied "we'll need to devise a plan to eradicate those 'River-rat Rogues'."

Information is never easy to obtain. Even more difficult when the answer is much less apparent than a simple black and white contrast. With so many inbetweens ans so many grey areas, the Rogues of Kharne can move without drawing too much attention to themselves.
However, this they are not the only threat beneath the city, and they are not afraid simply of the Law and Sivant. Having traveled much of Kharne and having learned so much from scraps of gossip, what is heard to come next may be much larger than anything anyone may have seen.
"A Clockwork Monstrosity," they call it.
What is worse is that even the esteemed Ironboot Bathard, Smith of Zentruum Forges cannot begin to fathom the mechanization of it all.
The people of Khare learn to avoid alleys and dark streets, but some think the guards can save them, but they are wrong. Avolo and his assassins take it to the roofs, finding the right person, then strike without anyone noticing.
People come to the Red Quarter for Adrinia to hire an assassin for them or to become one.
Mercenaries flock the streets, lookouts on the rooftops looking for guards, and thieves steal for Adrinia.
I thought that rogues and assassins never got their place for a tribe...Not rouges and assassins! XD

Guards wake up to the sound of cannon fire. Pirates swarm the ship killing the merchants, and taking all the gold.
I couldn't get the power and toughness in the right corner, it was weird.

Bought from a dubious vendor at the festival of thieves, this 'invaluable purchase' was dropped from the bridge at the port on the way to Fireview Sq. where it bounced down across the river bed, finding itself in the fallen quarter...
Common the the festival, new coming thieves are trying to earn some reputation among the towns folk and marketers; some however, are doing a lot better than others.

@Blazin_Biscuit Vigilance is not a black-related ability btw. The only card that has that in mono black, by itself - no GY effects giving it from other dead creatures -, is Ghost Hounds from Homelands, which doesn't really count.)
