Advisor Theme Set!

I have always loved the Advisor's, (Grand Arbiter Augustin IV), and I am a huge fan of control Magic. I would like to start a set based on a political war, from the ground up. Now, I don't have any rules at the moment, so for the time being, I would just like to hear some ideas for a root problem that would cause a Political war.

I guess after we come up with a solid story outline, we can discuss how the cards would be unique, like; new abilities, creatures if the story calls for them, playful new ways to control, etc... along with how the characters correlate with how each of them work in game compared to the story.

My ultimate goal is to have around 180 custom cards to play with in the far future.

I really really look forward to seeing new ideas and playing some sweet combos everyone. :)

    To start a political war... Hmmm...

    During the plane's political election, a candidate with bizarre ideas, ones including building a wall wins, but due to hate from the opponent, the opposing candidate assassinated him a few days after Inauguration Day. Yet the next Prime Minister is fought for by the Vice Prime Minister, the one who killed the original Prime Minister, the Prime Minister's Son, His Son in Law and his Wife.

    The son would have taken over the role of the next Prime Minister, as to a new law issued by his father, but he gets stabbed by his brother in law, who becomes the next to inherit. Yet the mother, who already had secretly been having an affair with the Vice Prime Minister, together declare war on her Son in Law, who claimed the throne, with help by her Husband's murderer. Yet her husband's murderer was only manipulating him, and tried to kill him as well, but failed. She escapes, and forms her own army, therefore starting the... you know...

    Three Kingdoms

    That was just a summary.

    To add some magic to this... Maybe someone who wanted the original winner, bring him back from his death without anyone really knowing. He shows everyone that he in fact isn't dead, but due to everyone already thinking he is, he can't just take back his throne.
