    Just started judging. At this moment there are 18 cards I am considering giving at least honorable mentions... so much nostalgia... I must resist!!

    So many cool things going on with this card!! I love how Samus can show up at any time, and she's hunting whatever dealt damage to you this turn! :D And when the job is done she flies off into the sunset for the next time she's needed. I've always been a big fan of the mentroid games, and this card captures Samus to a T. Once again, this one of those few cards I find more worthy than the one I've made for the Showdown.

    :D I've spent so many hours wandering Mordor just slaying tons of orcs. His abilities fit so well. I wonder if it would have been better to give him shadow instead of flying? It might fit the game a little more but wouldn't be as fun to play in a normal magic game. Regardless, it's certainly a really cool card just the way it is. Thank you for another great entry!

    You know that's right! Alduin summons dragons so long dead that they're no longer in the game son! ;) It will go great in the Ultimate Showdown too. The only reason this card didn't win is it would be really hard to play in any normal game of magic (although to me, that's not the biggest deal). So... also close second? :)

    Nice! Dark Souls is an excellent series. I'm playing through the third one right now. Great character choice!

    I've never played monster hunter but I easily get how terrifying this boss is by your card. You're going to need something more than brute strength to take this thing down! I say, chain it to the rocks!!

    When I started judging I told myself that each entrant could only have one card in the winner/honorable mention spots, but your entries made me break my own rule. The mechanics of this card are really awesome. Something different and cool that fits well with the iconic character. :)

    Excellently accomplishes what the unit does in the game and is a very cool card at the same time. Plus I've always had a sweet spot for vikings. :)

    There were a lot of great entries for this contest. Just know that many of you were very close to getting an honorable mention but I want to keep the max at 5.
