One mana counterspell?! (Judging)
Hello, ladies and gents!
Your challenge today is to make a *balanced* one-mana counterspell.
Obviously, that kind of power requires serious downsides. Or maybe it only counters certain things, such as Stifle or Dispel.
Here's an example:
So, without further ado, the rules:
1. Make it balanced! Counterspell was banned in Modern for a reason!
2. WotC-like artwork.
3. Unglued is ok, but don't make spoof cards.
4. Maximum three entries.
Judging will most likely be in a week or two.
PRIZES!
first: five favourites and a TROPHY!
second: three favourites and a TROPHY!
third: one favourite and a TROPHY!

Flavour text should be in italics. Other than that, I like it a lot!

Edit: I fixed slight typos on the keyword!
Definitely overpowered as it isn't too niche, is available to mono-black and has a weak downside.
Compare this to Faiths_Guide's and our last spell to make sure if it's balanced. Keep in mind ours is just on the edge to being OP!
I'll admit though that I like the idea a lot!
