@modnation675 , yes I was referring to those. I'm not saying Sanjaya's card is bad, far from it because it reminded me of those old cards of ravnica, which will always be found in my EDH xD
I simply mentioned the cost because it's a discard every time you want the double mana, which is big anyway... but yeah late game it would hardly hurt. It's more a matter of opinion rather than actual fact I guess.
A dual red-green land which incorporates energy counters as well. I'm thinking it would fit well into the green-red aggro energy deck which uses Voltaic Brawler and other cards like that. Good luck everyone!
@Swegboss12, I love the idea for Vehicle Tether, but I'm not sure if that would work. Vehicles state that only creatures can crew them. And crewing is based off power of creatures. You could fix it by saying "Vehicle Tether becomes a 1/1 Pilot creature until end of turn. It's still a land. Crew it to target vehicle you control."
This may be kinda overpowered but I think it can be a good idea to make a set of cards that enters the battlefield tapped unless u have 5 or less life and had a pair of abilities that matches the colors of the land, so when u are 5 or less life you can play it and intantly activate its ability.
Probably the cleanest way to crew a vehicle using a land is just to say "Target Vehicle you control becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.", exactly how Peacewalker Colossus does it. That's literally what crew does. The only difference among actual cards would be if somehow Vehicle Tether becomes a creature and has Revoke Privileges put on it, or if your vehicle gains shroud somehow and Vehicle Tether can't target it.
@IanLowenthal Well, it's completely busted as written, since there's no intervening if clause... that triggered ability can still resolve even if it's already tapped.
