Opponent: @butterkirby Challenge: Make a balanced remake of an (in your opinion) overpowered real MTG card.

I don't exactly know what kind of cards @MagicChess describes as "overpowered". I know that the challenge is to make a card that is in my opinion overpowered, but I feel that since everyone has a different definition of overpowered the original version of this could look on par power wise to a normal card. Like omniscience, this card can be used to cheat other cards into play. Unlike omniscience, Stoneforge only requires a total investment of four mana, and can be used to cheat something into play as early as turn three. Now, I know many of you might be thinking "It's just an equipment, so you would still need to equip it" and to that, I say Batterskull. Being able to play any equipment on turn three for a fraction of its cost is extremely overpowered, as you might think. In fact, this is one of only a few cards to be banned in both their respective standard format and modern (the others are Jace, The Mind Sculptor and the Artifact Lands from Mirrodin).
What I did was change the ability that let you cheat an artifact into play to an ability that lets you equip for free at instant speed. It's not overpowered anymore, as there are a few cards that have this effect, and literally see no play. I think this card is still good enough to be playable, but no longer ban worthy.
@KrampisZman, what you did was perfect. The card you remake must be, in your opinion, overpowered. (I totally agree, by the way; Stoneforge Mystic is crazy). You kept the feel of the card the same, but tweaked one ability and made it balanced. Great job!
@Everybody, I'm sorry to say this, but if you don't enter by the time I finish judging, you will automatically lose. So if you haven't made your submission yet, DO SO NOW!
@Decaldor, your entry (Magecaller Rondure) was made by @Ydoplus_of_Forduuath and is therefore disqualified. Please let me know if this is some kind of mistake. If not, you still have a bit of time to make another entry; I hope you will! Sorry if it wasn't clear in the rules that your entry has to be your own card.
You see, I am Ydoplus_of_Forduuath, but I just had a problem when I first started the forums, and named myself Decaldor. Now, I use Decaldor all the time, because I don't like to keep track of two different accounts at once. Sorry for the confusion.
@mtgwizard9003, @dashdo101, @UndeadZombie22, @MTGkitchentable, Really sorry, but your entries are long past overdue and you are disqualified. I'm sorry if this was because I didn't give you enough time to make your entries. Hopefully you can be in Season Two!
Oh crap! I completely forgot about this contest with all the end-of-quarter homework thrown on me. I'll probably come back for the next one. Sorry guys.
@Faiths_Guide vs. @Death_Methods -> Make a card with awesome flavor text. Winner:@Faiths_Guide with Meddler’s Punishment. NOTE: Now called Meddler’s Due (http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/meddlers-punishment). See the contest thread for the original that I judged. Another really hard decision. If I could, I would call this one a tie and send you both into the next round, but unfortunately that’s against the rules. Your flavor texts were equally awesome, though in different ways, so it came down to the card itself, which even then was a difficult choice. Really hate to lose you, @Death_Methods!

I'll try to enter shortly!
Hopefully this hurried submission makes the cut!
The flavor text is the most "awesome" when the card design is taken into consideration.
Also, this card was originally uncommon [ like: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=234718 ] but I thought it might become too powerful at that rarity? Maybe {1}{r}{r} and uncommon would've been alright? I dunno.

@MagicChess Thank you for the extra time. ^^
Refer to original image.
Oh, totally missed that. My bad!
Well, look at the original image then
@Everybody, if one of the above smiths is your opponent, tell them to make their card! You also might want to send them a message.
Well, I do like both versions of my card. I do still wish that the revised one could've been submitted though...
