The night is fresh and cool with the scent of night flowers on the air. You are refreshed, having spent the previous night at grand ball at the Voldaren Estate. The Lady herself was present, but you of course could not get a glance of a vampire of such high stature, though it was good enough just to be invited. Lavish furnishings were provided to all guests who stayed the night, but all were coldly turned out the next night. Treacherous mountains surround the estate and a path West through the lowlands leads into the main province of Stensia.
In the almost dead high city Thraben, a person was currently walking under the night's pale moonlight.
"For real, what the heck am I doing here actually?"
Leresus was having a bad time. He was just looking for a decent place to sleep. But all he found just ruins. And some occasional unfinished construction sites.
'It must be the influence of that abomination.' He thought.
Suddenly, he heard a sound of beating wings coming closer to him.
"What is-" He turned 360 degree and saw at the night sky above.
"Hello, traveler." Greeted the winged being that was clearly a female who also wielded a long, ornate wooden staff that also shaped like a crane head on a stick.
"Uh, h-hi there..." He just stammered in the presence of that angel.
Having spent the last night at the great ball, I feel entertained and at least a bit important. Not having met the Lady herself doesn't seem to be too bad, because nobody might be abled to proof that later on.
While taking a walk down the Lowland Path, I spend my time thinking of what I experienced and what I might tell people about what happened. Being well fed I am still keeping an eye out for easy prey to feed on.
While walking, another thought goes through my head. I might be unexperienced, but that is not my worst problem. I don't like looking like that as well. Feeding on a villager might be fine, but making some coins as well would be even better.
I think of all the fine clothes, I might buy to improve my appearance. Looking important will surely make me more important than I am now. Combined with the right reputation, that might work quite well. So killling a traveler, stealing his money and letting the world know might be a great plan.
@sanjaya666 I don't have a Thraben map yet, so you can start there but it will take me a moment. Or you can start in Nephalia or Stensia immediately. No library, you can cast any spell you know as long as you have mana. You can create spells on the fly to deal with encounters but they cost one colorless in addition to the printed cost. You have opportunity to buy new spells and items.
You can feel the power of the mountains looming all around you. The path is desolate and bleak as most people know better than to walk these places at night... most people. Someone must not know this, or be terribly brave, as you hear the sound of a cart in the distance. Nestled from a hiding place in the cliffside you can see a lone traveler with a horse and small cart. He wears a hat and carries a walking stick. To the south you can see the rock give way to the boggy marshes of the Farbog.
OOC: You can see you have an additional Red mana. Traveling through natural environs garners mana.
North: Mountains, West: Voldaren Estate, South: Farbog, East: Stensia Valley
@sanjaya666 I Have a Gavony map now. Thraben doesn't have its own map. We just RP in there as needed.
Laresus: Bitter Road
The angel's eyes look sternly down at Laresus, "Human, you seem to have some good in you. Would you join the brave cathars in slaying devil outside the Cathedral?" You can see the cathedral looming in the distance, some blazing commotion before it.
North: Cathedral of Avacyn, South: Plains, East: Plains, West: Moorlands
Having never meet an angel before made him just a little bit worry. Angels were pure manifestation of positive emotions (mostly). So, if you were having a small dispute against them, you would be swiftly feel their wrath. And they were also strong beings with incredible white magic.
Truth to be told, he wasn't really a religious man. And that religion was only created to control the population anyway. He had also joined the local military before he went out because of his lack of belief. With a bit of luck, nobody also noticed his dismay towards them. He also learned some spells along the way of his journey from a close friend, although that person was also a ferventuous Avacynian.
'If I was correct, this angel's name is Sigarda. Rumors said that she is the most incorruptible among all angels, even Avacyn herself. And judging by that condition, my mana reserve also seemed pretty low. Great. I'm just hoping that she won't go horseshit crazy to me.' He thought.
After a while searched for those devils, they finally found nothing. There were also sign of commotions in that particular place.
Feeling how my magic is empowered by the mountains around me, I grab my crackling club and spend some of my magical energy to connect to it. I also prepare to cast 'Coat with Venom', just in case it's necessary. I catch up with the guy on the horse and adress him: 'Hey stranger. It's dangerous here in the mountains all alone at night. You should give me your money, before somebody steals it.' My club glows with magical energy like my eyes glow with thirst for blood and I hope, I can make him do, what I want.
Rathus could feel his bones tingle, literally because there were rats gnawing them when he woke up. He wanted to say something, but sadly without vocal cords or lungs to pump air through them all that he managed to do was make a rattling sound as his jaws clasped together.
Knowing that Havengul Town was to the north, the bag of bones that was Rathus shook his shoulderblades, moved his boney legs and started marching towards the north, eager to see if he could have something to do there...
(shorty for now)

@sanjaya666Hey! Please just post your actions and not assume the result. I'll describe what's going on. There is some order here, not a free for all. Thanks!
The angel seems humbled, Thank you for your kind words, wizard, but I could never hope to ascend to such heights. I am called Moonglow and watch over those who travel. You are mistaken. The devil still assails the faithful." She touches your brow and you can see the fight at a distance, a few cathars against a menace from hell, ablaze with dark fire. "Would you aid the priests?"I understand if you have not the heart. There are many other needs in this forsaken place.
North: Cathedral of Avacyn, South: Plains, East: Plains, West: Moorlands
The man looks up, startled, but wary. "Take what I have, bloodsucker, and leave me to my travels." He holds out a handful of gold coins in one hand and clutches the hilt of his sword with the other.
North: Mountains, West: Voldaren Estate, South: Farbog, East: Stensia Valley
@pstmdrn OOC: The result is still unclear, you know. The fight isn't even finished. And by the way this story is convoluted now. Guess I'll change my story then.
'Good decision, stranger,' I answer, as I reach out to get the coins. But instead of taking the money, I grab him with my free hand and try to pull him off his horse. Why take the money and let him leave, when I can take the gold from his dead body after feeding on him? Relying on my haste ability, I hope, I am fast enough to surprise him and to drag him down, before he starts stabbing me with his sword.
'How the hell they could be... Whatever.' Leresus just dismissed that thought.
"Well, it won't stop me to help those in need. Alright then, let's go now." He responded. 'Well, looks like my assumption was wrong at all. Can she read my mind now? Damn... Uh, bad thought.'
Moonglow just raised her eyebrow.
They both then approached the fight. The devils didn't seem to notice them.
'Annoying critters. Still a careful approach is advised or you would rather lose a limb or two, or all of them.' Thought-monologued the wizard who seemed to be oblivious to the angel's presence.
"That's a good thought, wizard." Responded the angel.
'Damn, I almost forgot her.' "Uh, okay then. You can cast some light spells, right?"
"That's right. Do you think we should ambush them?" Asked the angel.
"Yeah. Just blind them with your light spell, then we can just kill those devils without any unnecessary collateral damage."
"That's a good idea." She said flatly.
'Do the angels have no... Oh right, she's not specialized in combat tactics, nevermind.'
This time he noticed any comments from the angel.
They both then finally ambushed the commotion. With a literally shining entrance, they both entered the deadly combat.
Having trained in swordsmanship really gave Leresus an edge in melee combat. Especially when your enemies were also blinded. Slashed left and right, he killed many of those devils. Moonglow also occasionally blasted them carefully with her concentrated white magic, and also knocked those hellish critters with her staff.
"Damn... Huff... There are too many of them.." He commented while stabbing some madly cackling devils, his modificated Banshee's Blade glowed faintly with blue hue. He actually obtained that equipment because of his rather good deeds from the past from a rather strange vampire who claimed that he already visited many other worlds beyond the void.
"Ugh, damn. I hope I can get a nice bath after this." He monologued while hiding behind a rubble of a building. After a few days travelling around without any sign of clear lake or river would make someone rather sweaty and smelly, wasn't it? Adding by that fight, well, you know how it would smells.
"Crap!" He then ran to the angel because his position was compromised by a lot of devils that already regained their sights back.
Though Havengul is draped in an eerie pallor of moonlight and ghostly sea fog, it is not without its own type of activity. Inns still serve food and drink, shambling beings cart packages from the docks and people of all types skulk about keeping to themselves. As you are walking by an alley you hear a scuffle. Down the dark corridor you can see two men dressed like low standing cathars prodding at figure on the ground with their staff. "We don't like dead things, do we Mort?"
The traveler is indeed taken by surprise, not only by your speed, but by your ferocity, assuming you would just take the money to buy hell crystal, like the other youth. He drops the coins on the ground as you press his throat to your lips. After a swift bite, the warm blood gushes into your mouth, filling your cold dead body with warmth and the pulse of life, at least temporarily. As you release the lifeless corpse to the ground, you notice an odd bit of cloth poking from his belt, as well as the weapon he was going for [Veteran's Sidearm].
North: Mountains, West: Voldaren Estate, South: Farbog, East: Stensia Valley
Rathus looked at his surroundings as he entered Havengul, the town seemed so eerie and so drearie, a perfect place for a shambling bag of bones such as himself, yet when he took a closer look at the town, he noticed what he thought to be two humans alive and well, mocking and belittling a fellow undead.
Though perhaps not the brightest among the boney horde, nor the most skilled, even the undead; skeleton and zombie alike had at least some sense of unity or at least that was what Rathus thought, which given that his brains had long been turned to dust, did not account for much.
With his trusty Bonesplitter in hand, the skeleton shambled towards the two men, his eyeless sockets gazing at what they were prodding and talking at, while his jaws clacked and clapped to show his anger.
Only a gust of wind blowing through his ribcage made a noise, nothing more than that, but still Rathus tried to lend a hand to the fellow undead and tried to do his best at intimidating the two men with his rather unconventional appearance and his large axe to wield.
Having fed that easily feels good, but also makes me feel a little guilty. I know, humans will die anyway, but sometimes, shortening their lives makes me wonder, how many years they still could have had without me. That doesn't stop me from taking his money and his veteran's sidearm, before I walk on. I decide to walk down into stensia valley, looking for some greater adventures, more blood to drink and some more money to take. While on my way I start looking for a place to spend the day, just to be sure.
OOC: I guess, I have to rest while day, since sunlight kills a vampire in innistrad as well?
