@kltmtg29 : Hm...are you sure those abilities work the way you intend? I could be wrong, but I think the "you" will still refer to creatures controlled by Contemptuous Paragon's controller, no matter who plays the ability. If that's the case, you give any opponent with enough black mana available a way to kill all your creatures!
In other news, Happy Easter to all who celebrate it!
@Decaldor I agree which @Gelectrode, though I also thing it's more powerful than a common. (Also this type of fringe card is not something you want being opened often in draft.)
I am working on a card for Cardsmith Duels. Feedback would be greatly appreciated, and I also really want to fit in flavor text but I don't have enough room. The idea of it is that the person who made the potion is psychotic (The more cards you discard represents how psychotic the person really is) and that causes the person who drinks it to also go insane. The more more mad the creator of the potion, the more mad the person who drinks it becomes.
I think that Mindeater Clasp is incredibly powerful, if not broken. It would be an instant staple in Commander Storm decks and would dominate many games. Maybe add something like "You can only cast one spell each turn?"
Alma looks like a pretty cruel stax card for Commander, even if she has no blue in her mana cost. Even if your opponents kill her, you can easily reanimate her over and over again. This is the kind of card that puts a target on your head in large commander games.
@sanjaya666, Maybe I should rephrase 'Stax.' What about 'Lots of Death and Taxes?'
I may be incorrect, but activating Oona's ability without paying any of its costs would mean X being 0, like it works with Cascade. Is there any evidence to the contrary? If so, let me know and I will fix it. Thanks!
107.3b If a player is casting a spell that has an {X} in its mana cost, the value of X isn't defined by the text of that spell, and an effect lets that player cast that spell while paying neither its mana cost nor an alternative cost that includes X, then the only legal choice for X is 0. This doesn't apply to effects that only reduce a cost, even if they reduce it to zero. See rule 601, "Casting Spells."
Fine. (I don't know what did you mean about that 'Stax', though.)
@Sanjaya666, Stax refers to the infamous Smokestack that inspired the deck, which is infamous in Legacy and Vintage. Stax decks basically shut down gameplay by making everybody not able to do anything or by destroying all permanents. It is to no great surprise that Stax decks are hated by all who do not play them. Here are some famous 'Stax' cards:
@Modnation675 I've made a second version. It seems a bit less exploitable, but I have mixed feelings about how well it fits what I was going for when I made the card. It was meant to be a mix of the typical izzet 'torrent of instants/sorceries' and black's trademark graveyard shenanigans. And this just doesn't feel "Shenanigans-y" enough to me, like you'll quickly run out of spells. Of course, there's no way to know when designing in a vaccum. Your input is appreciated! http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/krellius-flame-of-undeath-1
EDIT: Cards are gone. I accept that a design of this nature is inherently overpowered and give up.
@I2eptile I don't think you should give up as we've made some cards that feel busted in aspects but are fair. I'm sorry that the comments I made on your card may have came across as negative since they were quite lengthy, it wasn't our intention to do so.
huge cost for what seems to be a rather... "meh" effect. I like the unpredictability, but it somehow hardly seems useful. On the other hand... YAY CREATIVITY!!

Your card looks good! My only suggestion would be to add "this turn" to the mana-reducing clause to make it more professional. Sounds good?
Thoughts?

Excellent idea for a counter-counterspell! Is balanced and fits the flavor of White perfectly.

Possible entry for Cardsmith Duels!

A take on if Amonkhet, Innastrad and Ravinica had a very scary minotaur child.

I also wonder why nobody protests about Leovold's legality though.
And your card could give you a lot of tokens+milling with Oona (like tons of it).

Hmm, seems like that I was the one who is wrong.

An update on my card I created for Cardsmith Duels. Feedback would be appreciated.
