I really thought I'd win that one. I mean, no offense, @Credius, but I thought your god was a little strange. The first side was all about artifacts, where the second side had nothing to do with them. But I guess I lost, so good match.
@Decaldor , I actually understand your point. However, though in a sense it was intentional to have the first one be artifact related (relic after all) I do concur that the effects could've been more similar.
@Faiths_Guide, like I said, it was a very, very, very hard decision. And in all fairness, your card is slightly narrow, too. They were both amazing Potions, though! @Decaldor, again, your match with @Credius was extremely close.
@MagicChess I think you're thinking that I meant the card was a build-around (like mine). That's not exactly what I meant. Mass sacrifice isn't a narrow effect, where temporary random targets are. Obviously you're going to judge this how you want, exactly as you should. I'm just commenting on the card designed objectively, not trying to point fingers XD
@Faiths_Guide, what I'm saying is, it's not the most common thing in the world to have a creature with deathtouch in your graveyard, though I'm sure it happens enough to make your card playable. I do, however, respect your opinion and your card design and don't wish to detract from their value.
@MagicChess Yeah, Bewildering Toxin (on the other hand) is very narrow. Depending more on your opponents deck than your own build, and having very little effect.
@Faiths_Guide Yes, it is. I just tried to go for flavor, not playability. I thought the design was pretty cool on both of our cards, but neither of them are very playable.
@BradXmagic, I'm working on it. Since we're coming to the end, I'm trying to think of a better and more... well, challenging challenge. And I used up a lot of my ideas in the previous rounds! Expect the challenge by Friday, hopefully sooner.
@MagicChess , I had an idea that would have each color in it, but they are all dual colored with Black as the common denominator for all of them...does that count as well?
@Credius, hmmm. You know what? I'm going to allow that. I'll make an edit to the rules. Just be sure to make a mono-black one so that there are five cards in it.
This was a very cool idea, and pretty challenging I think. I've always been a fan of guys like Sigiled Paladin that are classic white weenie, but wanted to see if I could replicated that for the 5 colors. Not sure I did exactly, but here goes.
I was thinking of an idea for my cycle. Can I make the card one color, but have a diferent color identity? It's hard to explain because it hasn't really done before that I know of.
Example: A card that costs one Green mana. It has no other activated abilities or anything but I give it an ability that says it has a color identity of green and black. Kind of like devoid but I am adding a color, not removing all colors.
And would I have to make the additional color the same for all of them? I kind of wanted a green card with a color identity of green and black, a white card with a color identity of white and blue, ect.
@BradXmagic, interesting idea. So are you going for ally colors or enemy colors? GB is enemy, but UW is ally. If you want to make them dual-colored, either choose one color that they all have and change the other ones, or choose ally colors or enemy colors for the cycle. As for the color identity thing, I'm not sure if that's following protocol, but I'll allow it, unless one of your fellow contestants protests, in which case they will have to convince me otherwise.

Bewildering Toxin is very playable with madness.
Still no, actually. It is far too narrow and there are many better madness enablers that are good on their own as well.
@Decaldor, again, your match with @Credius was extremely close.

Yes, that's what I thought you were saying. Not a narrow effect, just a build-around.

The next few days I will be busy.

Well, technically (in the right deck) Cytotoxin is very playable. I double checked this with @ningyounk himself.
Make a cycle!
Not a card with cycling, mind you. A simple color cycle, with five cards in it; one for each color. There are other types of cycles than color cycles, yes, but this is what we're gonna do.
Your cards can be any rarity, but they must all be of the same card type. They must be similar both thematically and flavor-wise. It CAN, however, have a base color with the other colors over it (e.g. B, BU, BG, BR, BW).
Some recent cycles: the Cartouches and Trials (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?name=+[cartouche]||text=+[cartouche]), the Amonkhet Gods (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&subtype=+["God"]&type=+["Creature"]&block=+["Amonkhet"]), the Aether Revolt Implements (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&block=+["Kaladesh"]&name=+[implement]).
@BradXmagic, @Credius, @nsm91: The battle is on!
You know what? I'm going to allow that. I'll make an edit to the rules. Just be sure to make a mono-black one so that there are five cards in it.
cycle boxes ticked: colorpie, name, flavortext xD

Though srs, don't let us wait for another week... I'm tired of all these extensions that in the end amount to nothing
