@sanjaya666 (By Modnation675) How about something more variable. But at least that isn't consume 1!
Also, we request that people don't make grandiose statements disapproving of other Cardsmiths' designs. I make very mechanically formatted comments to keep up with the amount of comments posted while not making paragraphs of comments for a single person to have to scour!
We apologize if those comments may sound blunt sometimes, but we have good intentions and try to make our comments succinct when it comes to design aspects! (Also this is a group account as such we have differing opinions.)
@Swegboss12, @sanjaya666 We're referring to saying heresy about other users, not making criticism on cards!
You have been known to be toxic with some of your habits. This is the last comment I'll make on this post so as to prevent spam. We apologize for the inconvenience Swegboss12!
@modnation675 So much for trying to have a real conversation. You know what, I'm not a mtg player. I could never be one because of the condition of my life. I'm just a guy who tries to make joke because this is the only one thing I can do. I don't even have a PC or even enough money to buy one. And you call me toxic because of what? Because of some comments that even have NO REAL IMPACT IN THEIR LIVES. OR EVEN YOUR LIFE. Have a nice day.
@everyone who commented here I didn't actually make the original ability, @BlueDrake77 did. I just changed it a bit and he liked that version better than his old version. @Death_Methods they are very hungry hippos
@modnation675@sanjaya666 Its fine guys, I just felt like making a contest and my friend had an ability which could be a subject for the contest, so I made it. I didn't actually think anyone would make cards for it tho.
@Death_Methods If you give that card a plus one plus one counter or something, and attach burning anger to it. Actual Mtg card. Then you have an almost automatic game winner.
MTGCardsmith is here to give everyone a way to explore their visions and variations of cards they would like to see, regardless of how well they stack up to actual MtG Cards. We also like to make sure that people can freely express their views on those cards as well as the mechanics and interactions of the cards, as long as people are civil and aren't attacking the individuals who made them. When someone says they don't like a card, or feel it isn't up to MtG standards, that's okay as long as they aren't degrading to the person who made the card, and vice-versa. Remember, "Timmy" doesn't always like the same cards as "Johnny" or "Spike" http://mtg.gamepedia.com/Player_type ...so not everyone will like your cards either. People offer their opinions to help you make improvements, or because you ask, or sometimes just to be heard.
The bottom line is, be nice.
Cards don't have to be perfect, and Mark Rosewater isn't stopping by to correct anybody. If someone gives you advice or an opinion, you don't have to listen to it, just say, "Hey, thanks, but I kinda like it this way." And just to be fair, if you want to give someone advice or an opinion, remember, it's still their card, so if they don't want to listen, that's their choice too.
@Death_Methods Sorry to keep on finding infinite loops with that, but with a card that affects all like cryptolith rite: or Arlinn, Embraced by the moon, -6 ability: Transformed from Arlinn Kord: It just makes it more overpowered, not allowing other players to affect it with most spells.
@Death_Methods I like the card idea, but I am a bit fussy(Very fussy) on stuff, so if I were you, i would probably also debuff the untap ability so that you lose 2 life when you do that or something. BTW I have never actually seen anyone use the untap symbol yet, so nice job.
Given the amount of retention on this contest, I'd suggest starting a new contest with a different theme.
This contest in specific has also been dragged on for a long time with no updates. The cursed dice roll challenge is a good example of how to have an ongoing challenge/contest.
That challenge has new weekly dice rolls that provide something for users that already participated in the challenge for a few entries. Other examples include the desecration challenge and anything inspired by TrippleBoggey3's anything goes challenge format.
Comments
It's a real keyword ability -_-

You hear it? (Look at @modnation675 comments on my card.) Your mechanic is c**ppy! (according to @modnation675)
Lol.
Wow, that's harsh!
The mechanic is quite good when used as Consume 3 or greater.
How about this:
Consume ({t}, sacrifice a nontoken creature: Put three +1/+1 counter on (this creature) and create a black 0/1 skeleton creature token.)
Not really flexible but it's kinda balanced, right?
How about something more variable. But at least that isn't consume 1!

About my comment before, don't take it seriously, lol. Your mechanic is great, but only at certain points, no offense tho.
@modnation675
Ok. Then make it, lol.

With that being said, please don't unleash this -
