Battlerealm
WELCOME TO BATTLEREALM
Welcome to the greatest plane in all the Multiverse, Battlerealm! this utterly isolated and abandoned world is fill with terrifying creatures, and land that makes no logical sense, mana is fickle, monsters are rampant and the bloodthirsty "Covenant" wants to see some action. This mysterious league of Planeswalkers want to host the first Battlerealm tournament, and here are their rules:
RULES
You may input 1 set of (about) 3 cards, they must be the following:
- A planeswalker
- A Tamed Battlerealm creature (information below)
- An arena (information below)
CREATURES
Battlerealm creatures are strange, since Battlerealm has no civilizations only non-humanoid creatures reside here, Battlerealm creature also have an affinity with mana, if you want to incorporate this into its design.
ARENA
Your home arena is a bit like your stadium for all things battle, its a land card that automatically begins the game in play, with the following ability:
(This card is put into play at the beginning of the game, tapped and under your control. You may only have one arena at a time.)
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
In Battlerealm, the very rules are different, once, every second turn (thats when you play a turn, then your opponent plays a turn and it is now your turn again) you must flip a coin, if tails then a Mana Surge occurs, this lasts until the next flip of the coin, many Battlerealm creature thrive during a Mana Surge, so use this in your creature's design.- example wording: During a Mana Surge this creature....
Welp that's all, good luck and have fun!
Example of Mana Surge in action!

Thanks my dude!
Yeah, go for it! That's the idea I had in mind!
Are you talking about the Planeswalker Fare thing-y? cause... I maybe pinched a few ideas from them... just a few
Here it is...
It's like commander except you can have sixty of more cards in your library, not including your commander which has to be a planeswalker. Unlike commander you can have up to four of any same card in your deck, except for legendarys, which you can only have on copy of per deck. Another big difference would be Realms. These would function a little like planes in planechase except they exist in your command zone. These can be played but only under special circumstances. For example, only if you have five or more creatures.
Some backstory:
Frenya is a Zendikari elf from the nation of Mul Daya in Bala Ged. The elves of Mul Daya are very spiritually connected and speak to ancestors; but Frenya, for one, was especially talented with communication to the spirit realm. She was the oracle of her small tribe. But some feared her disconnection to green magic was a problem. Most elvish spirits were of the green mana, not blue, white, and black. This fear eventually lead her to be driven from her home and exiled. She eventually set upon a small merfolk town which welcomed her in. But one night, her mind was touching form spirit to spirit, one came up to greet her. It spoke of the dark threat of her false gods, the Eldrazi he called them. He said they were coming, coming to feed. She rushed back to her tribe, but not before the broods of Ulamog's spawn had overrun it. At the sight of Ulamog itself, worming its way through a temple dedicated to the god Ula; Frenya' spark ignited and she became a planeswalker. Her first walk ended in a disaster and sent her to the province of Nephalia in the dark plane of Innistrad; completely surrounded by ghouls. But with her new power she called the corpses spirits to help her and battle there own bodies. With her new army she marched up the coast and came into contact with several Geistmages, which immediately followed her. This way she began to spread her influence through a throng of her own cultists. Then the angels went mad, and Frenya used her powers of flight to become an angel slayer. But it soon attracted the attention of Bruna, who purged her cult in a bloody crusade. Overpowered and outnumbered, Frenya made a mad walk to the first plane she could find. This was Battlerealm. Here, she found the last remaining humanoids on the plane and now protects them from the horrors of the world. With her very own spirit army.
Awesome, love it! thanks for adding the extra line of information on the Area fluff, thanks!
Humanoid means: Having an appearance or character resembling that of a human.
Thus I'm not sure your card is permitted within the confines of this challenge. It may be fine, I'm not the master here, I just thought I'd give you a heads up.
I was trying to add flavor. Maybe the world was normal before some great catastrophe took place killing all humanoids. A humanoid spirit might be aftermath of this. Sorry if I broke the rules a little.
For shirts and giggles i'll say that the spirits are formless, but these ones mimic humanoid affects
What's everyone's obsession with spirit tokens? Either way, great cards, thanks!
Cool, thanks for using my template for Jungle Morass. It makes this feel so much more like a real set!
