These kinda already exist... Just gave them names... Banished (Creatures put into a graveyard by this creature are exiled.) Relentless (All creatures able to block this creature must do so.)
I'm loving Paradox, I might use that one in the future. Mechanic - Entangled Effect - For every 1 damage dealt to this creature, you may choose to redirect 1 damage to target Entangled creature you control. At end of turn, exile any tapped creature that was dealt damaged in this way, and if you control no other Entangled creatures, this creature loses Entangled.
Yes, this is based on quantum entanglement.
It begs to be paired with cards like "Observation - Target creature loses Entangled, then exile all Entangled creatures."
Manalock [mana] (During your next turn[after casting this spell], deplete the next [mana] that enters your mana pool)
You can either put it on spells by just say manalock [mana] or spells can say target player manalocks [mana]. Spells with manalock should be above the curve, such as {r} for a 2/1 with manalock {1} or {1}{r}{u} for a spell that counters a spell then deals 5 damage with manalock {1}{r}{u}
Reverse Strike - A creature with reverse strike deals its combat damage after other creatures (without reverse strike), then deals double the normal amount of combat damage.
Fix : Pact - When [ name ] enters the battlefield, pact. (To pact, put a token that's a copy of [ name ] onto the battlefield under target opponent's control. You may pact with opponents that have hexproof or shroud.)
So if you used the fixed version with the above link, it'd be like this : Creatures controlled by players that control a(n) [ permanent type ] named [ name ] can't attack players or planeswalkers controlled by players that control a(n) [ permanent type ] named [ name ].
The main issue here is spacing and it's almost guaranteed that the reminder text for Pact won't fit. Would like help and shortening if possible.
It's the only one off the top of my head that I think costs more. It costs more because usually creatures are harder to send to the grave in mono white, and the death ability is amazing.
Tribal Bound - (As long as you control 4 or more {Creature type}, {Effect}) Example: Tribal Bound - (As long as you control 4 or more goblins, creatures you control have haste until end of turn)
Pain - (When this creature enters the battlefield, you may deal 2 damage to yourself. If you do, {Effect}.) Example: Pain - (When this creature enters the battlefield, you may deal 2 damage to yourself. If you do, target creature gain +2/+0 until end of turn)
Note:So far, no cards have the exact examples on them. Though, the mechanic exists. They debutted in Lands Of Arnamda, the current set that I am working on.
I think, if the mechanics are designed with a specific color in mind, it should be stated. So here's mine. Battlecraft(This spell costs {1} less to cast for each source that dealt damage to an opponent this turn.)
This is primarily a Red mechanic, secondarily a Black mechanic, and probably tertiary in White: Does this mechanic fit those colors?
@Ludos, thanks for posting the colors for which the above mechanics are designed, I think it is useful information to have. Cheers!
I like the adaptability mechanic. I might put this in Red. Red seems reactionary and passionate enough that it might become stronger when faced with a larger threat. If it were my mechanic, I might change the name and make it a Green and Blue mechanic, and Red mechanic, sometimes a Black mechanic. I'd love to hear what other people think. @Suicidal_Deity ? @Beeswax ? @Corwinnn ? @Damnation? (Feel that love for you, Damnation?)
@ManaMagic, that mechanic (Shifting) is a lot like Dash. Shifting: Shifting (You may pay (cost) to exile this creature. If you do, return it to the battlefield at the beginning of your next end step) Dash: Dash (cost) (You may cast this spell for its dash cost. If you do, it gains haste, and it's returned from the battlefield to its owner's hand at the beginning of the next end step.) Not the same, but close, I think. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @Damnation, Pact says "You may pact with opponents that have hexproof or shroud." Maybe I am being thick, but can a player have hexproof or shroud? I thought those abilities were on creatures, not players.
@Damnation, you may change the text of Pact with no target. Like this: (To pact, put a token that's a copy of [name] onto the battlefield under an opponent's control.) The text is smaller than yours and it doesn't target any player, but the effect is the same. However, i like this mechanic. Creatures with drawbacks and Pact would be interesting, because you can sacrifice your creature with drawbacks (like loss of life) and your opponent will remain with a dangerous creature... for himself. Favourite: Battlecraft, Avenge. @MrRansom thanks for hints I think you're right, I'll put Adaptability on red, it's better ^^ I like the name "Adaptability", someone has a better name? I've seen that there is another Adapt, the name is quite the same XD
@Ludos, there isn't really anything wrong with the name "Adaptability" I just thought it seemed like a uniquely green/blue sort of name. If you like it, keep it, obviously.
@Damnation, @Ludos is right, I think. It doesn't "target" therefore it bypasses hexproof/shroud. With the exception of Auras, spells and abilities only target something specific if they use the word "target." Somebody chime in if I am wrong.
Mechanic - Soul leech X Wording - Whenever a creature dies, this creature gains +x/+x until end of turn. Other: Inspired by the Dark Eldar's Power from Pain rule (40k), it's a black/red primary mechanic, but I'll be later putting it on some blue (with red and or black) cards. http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/wyche http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/kabalite-warrior

These kinda already exist... Just gave them names...
Banished (Creatures put into a graveyard by this creature are exiled.)
Relentless (All creatures able to block this creature must do so.)
Enrage X (This creature gets +X/+0 for each 1 damage dealt to it this turn.)
Fearless (Can block creatures with Fear or Intimidate as though it Shared color, was Black or an Artifact creature.)
E.g....

Black Convoke...
Offering X (Sacrifice any number of creatures you control, this creature costs X less mana of any color shared by each creature sacrificed this way.)
E.g...

Example: Warbrand Skirmisher http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/warbrand-skirmisher-3?list=user#.VaFUT4JdU8o
That sounds awesome! Synergy between Tidal ability and Jhoira's Timebug is cool!
Thanks for the great idea

I'll add a few cards when I get off work tonight.
Wording: Tap: Deal X damage to target creature or player.
Example: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/wilderness-destroyer?list=user#.VcikyvlViko
Mechanic: Weld
Wording: As an additional cost to this card, you may sacrifice any number of artifacts. If you do, this card costs {1} less for each artifact sacrificed this way.
Example: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/grand-warmachine?list=user#.VcilN_lViko
These are some fun artifact mechanics that I have come up with. Enjoy!

Craft
(Put a craft counter on a land you control. Lands with craft counters on them are crafted.)
Craft was inspired by the minecraft world (it's strange, I'm not a fan of Minecraft).
Cards with Craft usually have bonuses with crafted lands. Here's some examples:

http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/snow-golem-1?list=user
Craft is a pentacolor ability.
Mob-ilitation
Mob-ilitation - Whenever a Mob you control attacks, [effect]
Ok, here's the ability of enemies of Minecraft. Oh, I need to redo the Ender Dragon.

Mob-ilitation is primarily Black, secondarily Red and tertiary White.
Adaptability
(Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control, if that creature has greater power or toughness than this creature, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature.)
A different version of Evolve XD I've done many Adapters

Yeah, there's Aegis of the Gods, or something like that, and Leyline of Sanctity.
