MTGCardsmith's Patreon thing
THis is a sequel to a previous Discussion for Cardsmith's indiegogo campaign
unfortunately the campaign did not reach it's goal but this is patreon not indiegogo.
So today I want to talk about something else, now before a begin I may say some things that could be to demanding for the sites creator so I apologize if I say anything to stupid, unwanted, weird, and harsh so here we go!
First I'd like to ask a question during the indiegogo when it stopped did you still have the money from it is so than part of the patreon doesn't matter at all because you got like a believe you got like 2/7 of the away the way there so ya you get my point.
Second some of these features that you said you would give us for the patreon donations this is my opinion should already be on this website by default like M15 Planeswalker Card Maker and hybrid card backgrounds.
So ya thats my things to say for now anyways if you have anything to share go ahead I'd love to here your opinion!

My opinion on the rest of it is that this probably started off as something the creator(s) really loved and wanted to do. I think they pay for this out of their pocket when they can afford to do so, but eventually everything takes it's toll. I think they are at a point where they need us to step up and help or else it could go away.
Patreon is pretty cool, in that you can donate $1 a month... doesn't seem like a lot, just $12 a year, but if enough people donated $1 a month, it all adds up and eventually they can generate enough money to find someone who can design the new frames and write all the code that goes into it.
This isn't a full time paying gig for the people who run Cardsmith (I'm pretty sure they pay out more than they've ever seen return)... it's something they just love and want to see grow and thrive and sustain itself. Patreon can allow that to happen, as long as the people who come here want to pitch in and be a part of it. Not everyone can do that. I think they realize that most people on the site are under 18 and don't have the means to donate, so they're giving this a shot.
