@CheapQuester "You may only enter one card, so choose your faction well. Cards may be directly edited on the submission URL until the final day of the contest, but you cannot re-post/enter more than once." - mtgcardsmith
I'm not sure what that means for non-premium users! (I'm assuming it means you have to edit the existing card.)
I saw this art by Chase Velarde and had to use it somehow for this challenge! @mtgcardsmith - As you cast this, you can choose which avatar I receive. XD
Just wondering, is there a proper format for writing Eclipse abilities (and will it affect the judging of my card)? I wrote "If Eclipse is active, then ...." but I see a lot of people writing "Eclipse - ...."
@Agnimandur There are more/less appropriate ways of writing the ability. However, that shouldn't factor in to our judging as submissions have been made with every conceivable variation. XD
We have our winners! Our judges @ningyounk and @Faiths_Guide have locked in their votes and shared some insights for our finalists and honorable mentions.
1) Committed Ascendant by RedundantApples https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/committed-ascendant The symmetry evident in the artwork and abilities comes together for a very eye catching card design. But, what really separated this card from the rest was the very original and clever use of the hybrid mana in conjunction with the game rules variant. Committed Ascendant succeeded by being so remarkably unique and flavorful.
2) Luna's Madness by Gelectrode https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/lunas-madness This was one of the subtler uses of the Astral Light cycle, resulting in an ability with a revolving pattern, which displays ingenuity in card design. Luna's Madness is not only flavorful, but it finds the right balance with the rhythm of Helios and Luna. It perfectly interprets what "blue and red control enchantments" should be.
3) Crusader of Helios by Superman101 https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/crusader-of-helios Clean. Crusader of Helios' unabashed straightforward design just worked. It comes across as a realistic design in which each aspect serves its flavor. The mana cost, the old-school color hate, and all the rest just scream devotion to the Sun. This design empowers you as a proud follower of Helios.
Congratulations to our winners, I will be in touch with each of you about prize delivery. Thank you to all of our participants and expecially the Decendants of Luna who have won this war by a slim margin (a slight win is still a win)!
Wow! I am so honoured to have won my first contest since my return to this website! As well as being featured! You guys are all so awesome! Congratulations to the other winners and honourable mentions as well!

May you re-clarify this for us?

Don't know if this is fine, but I like it.

Who doesn't like defense? And offense, I suppose.
