@KalamMekhar How does this sound for another version of the effect. ----- If an opponent would search a library for a card, instead you search the library for a card of that kind. -----
Kinda wanted to make a build-around-me that channeled card draw into beatdown. Wheel of Fate and Timetwister are probably going to be good here but Timetwister won't be as annoying with this as when it's paired with Leovold. Any thoughts on power level?
@Gelectrode - Thanks. It's meant to be part of my custom plane so I can't really make it a character from Tarkir. Also the Jeskai djinn monks have a very distinctive look which wouldn't fit the art. But I agree that mechanically it could have been a Jeskai card.
@KalamMekhar - I really love the idea of Monument of Nothingness. A turn 5 win would be anything that you can sac for mana to play enchantment removal. Black Lotus and Naturalize (though that probably says more about Black Lotus) or just Commander's Sphere to play Demistify and then sac it before Demistify resolves.
Hello. This is a revised version of a card with help from @ningyounk and @modnation675. I'm still not sure if this is balanced or not, mostly because I haven't played very much in three-colour sets. Any advice would be much appreciated!
@Animist and @Platypusburger: so if I remove the Armageddon and reduce the cmc a bit, will it become less broken? Or maybe it should have indestructible. Or is it broken at all in the first place?
@KalamMekhar Hard to say. I don't really like Armageddons in the first place, since I think they're unfun. But if you take that away, you've basically got Barren Glory, but easier to win with.
@Platypusburger: I personally adore Armageddon, which is sort of what prompted me to make the card in the first place. You are right in that taking it away sort of takes away the uniqueness. Maybe giving it indestructible will sort of prevent Seal of Primordium wins, forcing you to generate the mana to exile it.
"Must Attack or Block Together:" It's a phrase I designed previously for this. Both must be declared as attacking or blocking the same creature, player, or Planeswalker simultaneously. If that action is illegal for either permanent, it is illegal for both. It's a flavorful drawback for balance.
@Faiths_Guide - I don't know if the wording is clear that the creatures have to block the same creature or attack the same planeswalker. I can imagine players thinking it just means that if one attacks or blocks then the other has to. Intuitively, that's what "together" is going to mean for a lot of players - that you can't have one attacking or blocking without the other also attacking and blocking.
Started work on some black cards that run a new ability called Ravage. Basically a swap-out ability that lets you trade a card for an instant or sorcery of your choice. Any thoughts?
@Faiths_Guide - yes, I noticed I've faved some of those. The only explanation I can give is that they were prizes for a contest! I'm sure I'd have raised this issue then if I'd actually read the cards (or perhaps I did and Disqus has since swallowed my comments). I don't remember seeing the set before to be honest.
sorry if that sounds harsh - didn't mean it to be! Just wanted to set the record straight
@Animist I remember specifically (since lovely faves from you are rare) that you found and faved the Saddle Boar without my knowledge and then (along with another smith) said that you'd like to see a cycle. I was originally only intending to do the Boar.
That you don't remember isn't troubling (they are old after all). XD I did try to find the old Disqus comments, but that proved difficult.

Too powerful? Or too black of an effect for white-blue?

Thoughts?

I've commented on your card.
What do you think of my take on completing the Thalia mega-cycle?
Are there any broken combos with this that enable a turn 5 win?
Or anything you can sac for enchantment removal.

I'll post some feedback by later this night.
I like the combination of prowess and untap a lot though.
Thank you.
Good? Bad? Better/worse than Thraben Inspector?
I just made this, and I haven't decided yet if I'm embarrassed by it.
I know it should technically be gold bordered, but the gold border with the art just seemed so wrong.
Thoughts on balance and abilities?

(Also, I now realize Thirsting Theft's "tap target creature" effect isn't really a black effect. Sorry about that.)
You're right. It would need more rules clarification. But that is the intent. Together, in this case, means "in the same place" or "as one."
It's based on the set you very much liked (as I recall).

Huh, well I'm drawing a complete blank there. Maybe those Disqus comments will come back one day.
