Hopefully you love reading. And even if you don't, most of us have that special character from that special book that we love. Your challenge: Make that character into a card.
Rules:
1: Must be from a BOOK
2: Book must be named in comments.
3: Must be flavorful.
4: Must be balanced.

I'm gonna hold off for a bit and see what people submit, then try and do something a little more obscure. Don't need five hundred Gandalf or Jon Snow cards, ha ha.
I wish you the best of luck with this one.
Bartimaues, from the Amulet of Sarmakand and several other novels:

* I found a cool unofficial artwork of Smiley, but sadly as you can see, only his head fits in the art frame.
Wasn't sure about creature type, so I just put Human Officer.
His two abilities represent his way of interrogation, and reaping the benefits of one.
I guess you guys know the classic "The Hound of the Baskervilles", right?
Hope you like it.

Sadly, the game is for iOS and only Apple store, but I recommend anyone to spend a few bucks just for either the second or third game, addictive and great quality. The books are digital as well.
Edit: The third game is actually free this week! If you can get it, I say give it a shot. Though you might need a relatively new generation apple device.
Ancalagon the Black
from Tolkien's Middle Earth (specifically The Silmarillion)
Now I'm going to do a different character.
Haha, I was wondering when someone was going to bring up a character by le Carre, but it seems I got there first! Are you going to do another Circus member? I haven't read a book by him in a long time, but the first character that popped in my head was Smiley. Besides, who has a last name with Smile in it?
Forget Twilight. I'm looking at the original Dracula.

I mean, yeah, Jacob has the body for sure. But almost anyone can get that bod with a little hard work.
Now, Edward? Edward has the sort of bone structure that no amount of work or money can buy. It's a gift. And I appreciate it.
