  • Important Points for Story

    - The Former King had 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls, 2 of them being Ella and Zurel. The other two will show up later, one being the a 12 year old female magic user, the other being a 22 year old male explorer.

    - The main areas of importance is the Kingdom of Riyin (Obviously), the vast forests east of it, spreading until the beach. The villages south, southwest and west of Riyin, all controlled by the kingdom, other than a few being taken and controlled by marauders and other enemies. Finally, the Mountains North, Northwest and northeast of the kingdom.

    - A lot of forests and mountains remain unexplored by Riyin, other than the groups of explorers trying to claim territory. Most areas off of the continent will not be important.

    - Riyin is a very fancy kingdom, sprawling many miles. The castle lies in the center, housing royalty and maids. Around the castle, lies all the nobles housing, this is where the competitors will stay. The rest of Riyin is business and residential area for the lower class (Still living nicely). Most business and shops in the kingdom are found here.

    - Map will be coming soon.

-Feel free to discover the kingdom, just ask me to describe in more detail for story accuracy.

That's about it, good day my friends.
  • Janti and Ella continued to walk down the streets, chatting all the way.
When they finally reached the castle, Janti made one last remark.
    "You should laugh more."
    "And why is that?"
"You have a beautiful laugh, m'lady."
Ella, being just as quick witted as Janti, replied "And you have a beautiful tail."
    They both burst out laughing.

pjbear2005 Well, no. I watched the fight.

pjbear2005 Also, what type of tournament is it going to be? A Hunger Games one (lots of casualties) A classic medieval Europe tournament (no deaths, maybe some wounds)? A "Trail of Glory" like one (death amount varies)? Or one where we fight vicious monsters where we get points for accuracy, speed, and flamboyancy (one death)? Or a Cannonball Run race-to-somewhere tournament?
  • Or gladiator ring? (Only one may stand!)
  • Wow...This just go alot darker.
  • Gladiator = better hunger games

Hunger Games is basically a gladiator ring, with the exception that Katniss and Peeta screwed the system. The 'gladiator ring' is basically formatted to the Gamemaster's liking, and he's basically, not to be vain or anything, the DM of the place. He can shoot fire (Hunger Games), send vicious monkeys after you (Hunger Games: Mockingjay), and summon creatures (Hunger Games).

I've done a book report on it.

Edit: I want pjbear2005 to decide because it is his story. But, you know, democracy is always fine.
  • I just like the idea of it being deadly.

  • Well I dont!
    Janti doesn't like death!
    His dad was murdered!
    He no like death!

  • So wait, Janti died? Also, what cut through they guy's head? A lightsaber?
  • First of all, Janti's tongue cut through the guy's head.
  • Second of all, this might be in the future, I dunno.
Maybe his dad was named Janti?
  • That's a dangerous tongue.

Amos was at the practice area again. He'd been there all night. Aois thought that he could stay there all night and day, practicing, and when the tournament came around they'd consider him weak and exhausted. He was exhausted, but not from staying up all night. He was exhausted from training. He'd been trained to stay up for three days. That was the sentinel's job at Zhong Xian, anyway. Aois' tactic seemed smart, and he also knew it would work; he did it during the War of the Abyss when he was in a pub, and his target he needed to kill was entering (Ajehas, a crimelord. He was a vital informat for the abyss for funneling info from Fellhaven to Kava). It was really funny, too, except he acted like a drunkard.
Amos wanted to try it, but he was too focused on the upcoming tournament. He was nervous, granted, because he knew that he may not survive. But he was there, and there was no turning back now.
  • Also, is the character in the art Janti's dad?

"He was nervous, granted, because he knew that he may not survive."-Understatement of the century

  • Hahahaha...
You don't believe he has gone on to a better place?  The wiser you might be in my mind for that, cute one.
  • And no, the character is not Janti's dad(Actually, it might be???)
Do you know how hard it is to find a picture of a dead fox???
  • LordTachanka123, sir, you realize he's 19, and he may have a full life ahead of him?
  • Such a good point.
Janti doesn't think that way, as he is almost certain he will die.
Azuma Kitsunes can live up to 200 years, but because of their noble blood and fighting prowess, they normally are assassinated, or K.I.Ad.
He just wants to die on his own terms.
  • Janti walked to his quarters in high spirits that day.Jazmyn had finally decided to stop going to bars and getting arrested.
Janti headed out to the training yard, as he needed some practice with his kunais.
While he was there, he noticed Amos and his ghostly apparition.
"Hello there!"He called out.He felt a shiver as the ghost started staring at him.
"I mean no harm, subterfuge, or sabotage!"Janti called, trying to reassure the ghost.
After an awkward moment, Amos said hi, and Janti decided to practice with his kunais.
  • Tournament will be more of a test of your skills that would be useful in holding the kingship. (Weekly challenges with occasional eliminations) When it gets down to only like 3 or 4 people, a hunger games style arena will be fought in, but healers are on standby to prevent deaths.
  • Yay!
    Neromancers!

  • One of the 2 spells Janti can cast.
  • The door to the quarters that Derian had been given opened and a shadow slunk inside silently.
"Excellent, Neviad, you have returned.  Have you memorized the layout of the castle?"
"Not quite yet, captain.  It is truly a vast complex.  However, I have heard rumors that the contest will involve combat of some sort.  The other contestants seem to believe this, as they are mostly out training."
A dart thunks into a makeshift board on the wall, where the center has been replaced with the cloth likeness of another person.  This dart, like all others, hits right in location where the heart of the person would be.
"Combat, eh?  Good.  Some of those nobles look like they have never swung a sword in their life.  I shall be fine."
Another dart thunks in, and Neviad glances towards the board.  "Still not gotten over her betrayal, captain?  If it isn't too forward of me, you should just go find yourself another wench.  Eventually you'll find her; she cannot hide on the seas forever with us after her."
"That is a mite forward of you, however, your advice is sound."  Derain heaved a great sigh.  "However, and it is possible you already know this, we weren't just captain and mate.  We were secretly wolf and mate too."
"Oh, that was no secret.  Pretty much the entire crew realized it.  You can't keep a secret onboard a ship."
"She did.  She kept too many, aye."
Neviad didn't quite know how to respond to this.  She was quite the sensitive issue with Derain, and it really wasn't any of his buisness, but he was one of the few among the crew that could actually call the captain "friend", and it pained him to see him this way.  So he decided to change the subject.
"The crew wants to be allowed to go out and mingle.  It has been a while since we set in port, and they want to explore the city, see the taverns and brothels and such.  It would also be befitting of a contestant to go out and meet with the nobles that you will be facing.  There is even another kin, albeit a fox, here.  He seems... innocent, though his companion seems more competant.  Perhaps that will distract you from... all of this"  He gestures around the room, where more mementos of the ex-mate were lingering, although it was lost on Derian, as he was facing away from him at the time.
"Perhaps.  I suppose it cannot do any harm at least."  Derian rose from his chair.  "Tell the crew they have free rein, but to not cause any more trouble than a barfight or they will be restricted to the ship for the rest of the time that they are here."
"Aye, captain."  And with that, Neviad strode out of the room as quietly as he had come.

Guys come on, 26 messages and only one of them is from pjbear. What's the point in making this load of cards if the contest isn't even open yet!

As of now, I suggest we keep things in order. I understand that some of you guys just want to write a nice story, can't blame you. But PLEASE, the thread blew up with 5 new pages in the spam of two days. It's not fair that the other guys just find themselves with countless """spam""" hoping to find one important message.

So please, can we tone things down and try not to flood the thread? Because if the challenges are WEEKLY, then there'll be 14 pages worth of spam, off-topic discussions and unnecessary roleplay per week.

I'm sorry, it's not my intention to be a nuisance or a "party pooper", but I am trying to make reading through the numerous posts more bearable for everyone. Sorry for the inconvenience.
