Outlaws of Thunder Junction contest!

Hey, it's been a bit since we had a new challenge, so here it is. Next set has some cool ideas!

Brackets

This challenge will have brackets for each new mechanic from the set. You can join as many brackets as you want, but you can only submit one card per bracket, as judging and feedback can get time-consuming otherwise. If a card would fit more than one bracket, choose one.
  • Commit a crime: A new game action used in triggered abilities. Targeting an opponent, targeting cards in an opponent's graveyard and targeting permanents they control, spells or abilities they control constitute a crime, more concisely summed up in reminder text as:
(Targeting opponents, anything they control, and/or cards in their graveyards is a crime.)
  • Plot: An alternative cost mechanic similar to Suspend or Foretell:
Plot [cost] (You may pay [cost] and exile this card from your hand. Cast it as a sorcery on a later turn without paying its mana cost. Plot only as a sorcery.)
  • Mount & Saddle: New creature type (Mount) associated with an activated ability (Saddle) reminiscent of Vehicles & Crew:
Saddle X (Tap any number of other creatures you control with total power X or more: This Mount becomes saddled until end of turn. Saddle only as a sorcery.)
  • Outlaw batching term: Similar to historic (Dominaria), party (Zendikar Rising) or modified (Kamigawa Neon Dynasty), in that it's a term used to couple concepts, in this case, creature types:
(Assassins, Mercenaries, Pirates, Rogues, and Warlocks are outlaws.)
  • Spree: A keyword ability for instants and sorceries that provides modality similar to escalate, but with varying additional costs:
Spree (Choose one or more additional costs.)
+ [cost]  Effect

Criteria

In broad strokes, what judging will look at, in order of priority.
  1. Basic Requirements: If it doesn't have the ability/term of its bracket, has been submitted/edited past deadline, isn't your first card on this bracket, or fits multiple brackets but you didn't choose, it's not an entry, unjudged & uncounted to begin a bracket's countdown (see Deadline).
  2. Comprehensive Rules: Card must function as of rules of MtG + Outlaws of Thunder Junction.
  3. Concept/Flavor: Some interesting cohesion or story to tell between at least two aspects, such as (but not limited to): card name, rules text, mechanic, art, cost, typing, flavor text, etc. If a little obscure, feel free to write it out on your submission, pardner.
  4. Balance in Limited: Balance when it comes to Outlaws of Thunder Junction's draft environment. Not Commander/Modern Horizon products. Proper rarity's important: not reflecting power, but how often a card appears. "Bomb" rares-mythics are fine, just not functionally unbeatable for limited decks. Design for OoTJ's archetypes' good (e.g. signpost uncommons). Some less rules-text/complexity on commons: in a 15-card pack meant to be read/analyzed in about a minute.
  5. Clarity: How understandable it is by itself. At times, less is indeed more: I beg you not to use banding and encourage you to make space for reminder text for non-evergreen keywords. Not to mention the nit-picky nitty-gritty: grammar, formatting & usual wording.

Rewards

For each bracket, I offer:
For 1st place:  6 favorites on any cards you choose and a follow (if I already follow you, +2 favorites)
For 2nd place: 4 favorites on any cards you choose
For 3rd place:  2 favorites on any cards you choose
Runner-up:      a favorite on any card you choose
Everyone:        hopefully constructive feedback.

Deadline

For a decent contest, each bracket will have its own 1-week deadline that will begin countdown on the day its 4th entry has been submitted, thus becoming that bracket's Day 0.
Before a deadline begins countdown and during that span, any valid entries/edits will be admitted (see Basic Requirements). At the end of a bracket's Day 7, no more entries/edits for that bracket will be admitted. GMT+0 (London time) will be used for a day's passing.

Edit: Due to site/forum issues on the month following this challenge's start, this deadline was not really applied. See the comment below.
