Phase Alpha - Operation: Box, Preparation Stage
In the next few days we will be launching the first half of a two-part contest series that will take place over the next month and a half so please read this information carefully as the rewards for winning are the largest of any contest on MTGCS yet. The first part of the contest has no tangible prizes. No packs, no favorites, none of that. So why participate beyond being an outlet for your creativity? Because all non-premium members selected as winners from the first part of contest will get their names on a very special list. The premium members selected as winners will be able to nominate a non-premium member of their choice for the list. There will be a slightly larger pool of winners (exact size depending on the number of submissions) and not just a 1st, 2nd, 3rd for this part of the contest.
What is this list? Why is it so important?
This list is important because people on the list and all premium members (bought through the site or members who meet the $5 premium threshold for at least the months of September or October) will be judged separately for the second part of the contest and have access to a better prize pool. The prize pool for non-premium, non-listed entrants will be:
If you aren't selected as one of the top entries in the first part of the contest, you can still qualify for the higher tier of the second half by signing up for a premium account by using the MTGCS secure store or donating on Patreon for at least the $5 tier. Not only will you have a shot at a box (and smaller boxes with other enticing products) but you will be supporting the site we all love and even get some neat features to boot (and perhaps some amazing features that are about to come out...).
Keep an eye out for the first part of the contest, which will reiterate much of the important information in this thread, coming out in the next few days. Prizes will also be expanded for both premium and non-premium members depending on the number of submissions.

Hahaha! This is gonna be way-cool!
This is the sort of thing you tell your Magic-playing friends about.
However, in this instance, the quote is likely true. After all, this is primarily about having fun and congratulating the winner! Let's make some (more) cards!
