Make a Mechanic! Help me get Ideas :| Part 1

I have an idea for a plane, that I would like to make a cardsmithed set. The idea, a plane covered with harsh jungles (There are still mountains and stuff).

I want people participating to come up with a mechanic related to this idea and submit a card/cards using it (you can expand on my idea. ex. create tribes or cities with unique traits and stuff). This mechanic has to be balanced and something that could be reasonably put on any rarity of card.

Submissions end on Halloween/ October 31st. I will determine the top three mechanics and use them in my set.

    Hmm...I have a lot of mechanics people could use in sets, but I think you should give us a better idea of what the set is like, not just saying 'It's covered in jungles'.

    - Who are the planeswalkers?

    - What are the civilizations/factions?

    - Where are the other notable landmarks and places (e.g: Kaladesh had Ghirapur, - - Shandalar had Thune...)

    - When (what kind of time zone) is this place based? Is is a new world - like Theros - or old world, like Ravnica?

    - Why are we visiting this plane (e.g. Tarkir was because of Sorin, Theros because of Elspeth...) ?

    I also often find the 'Inside R and D' videos by WOTC helpful as well.


    ANNNNYWAY... I've got a mechanic that might work:

    Variant 1) Hulk - As long as you control the creature with the greatest base power, {effect}

    Variant 2) Hulk X (As long as this creature has the highest base power, it gets +X/+X.)
  • Growth: Whenever this card gets a 1+/1+ counter,(effect)
