A sorcery that can be a permanent for @StuffnSuch: https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/phoenix-bolt A fun little challenge that could be conquered in a bunch of different ways! I immediately had this idea after reading your request, and it feels like something akin to Vehicles (probably could even have P/T in the corner) with a lot of design space and maybe another subtype to make it super obvious.
@StuffnSuch Aw, ya, just have a temporary affect persist as an enchantment. Not bad, but also not as intriguing or versatile. I'd love some feedback on your Phoenix bolt if you want to hop over there into its comment section.

Decided to adjust Curse of Longevity slightly with a spin on Cumulative upkeep: MY TWIST - Cumulative upkeep N [cost] (At the beginning of your upkeep, if this permanent is on the battlefield, put an age counter on this permanent. Then you may pay [cost] for each age counter on it. If you don’t, or if this permanent has N or more age counters on it, sacrifice it.)
