The first ability comes from the idea that Pinocchio always lost his master's money and after accidently giving his money to bandits, was hanged.
The second ability comes from Pinocchio's nose as it grows whenever he lies.
The final ability is that in the original Adventures of Pinocchio, Pinocchio was hanged for having "innumerable faults".
